Latest version locks out users

The latest release begs users to enable Tracking Ads - with no way to bypass that screen and use the Dictionary, unless they choose Agree. There is no choice. What about Disagree? I paid for this app to support you, I should have a choice.

Update: The software glitch has been fixed and I am able to use app. Pleased that developer took time to email an updated version was available. Paid for upgraded version and have been using since 2012 and have always loved until today. Cannot use due to pop up saying “We need your support” to allow tracking ads.

2021/05/23 This app used to be my favorite app for years. It was useful, great content and very stable. For about two years now, an update is released with annoying frequency; sometimes every two days, I kid you not! The worst part is that, most of the time, one can’t even tell the Improvement-if there is any! I wish they cut back to at least every other week and I also wish that they’d stop erasing people’s unfavorable reviews. I regret paying for the update. 2021/9/20. I’m starting to hate this app. These incompetent developers; do they even know what they are doing? Way to take such a great app and ruin it! The proof is that you keep releasing one update after another one. Just bring back whoever was in charge three years ago!

I have gone months without updating this app, and finally got around to it tonight. What have they done??? The latest version is a disaster. It is gaudy, cluttered, and designed for people with hummingbird attention spans (to be fair, that is most people nowadays). The old version was fantastic. You could easily toggle between thesaurus and dictionary, and pull the information you need without needless flashy graphics and distractions. I used it constantly as a writer. If there were any way I could get the old clean, clear, straightforward version back I would happily pay a premium to do so.

I love this dictionary app. I use it all the the while reading books or articles. Helps me out a lot and is very handy to have on hand. It has always been a smooth experience to use!

I use this app all the time. I used it in my classroom when I was teaching. The kids could actually hear the pronunciation of a word.

? SCAM ALERT ? They completely changed the app logo and confuse customers by changing the name of the full-access version between PRO ENGLISH and ⚡️POWER PACK. Expect to be DEFRAUDED in 2021 because if you purchased the unlocked version (aka PRO ENGLISH or ⚡️POWER PACK), many, many years ago for $2.99, they will charge you AGAIN *and* TWICE AS MUCH ($5.99), when you’re trying to download the app to new iPhones, like the 13 series. Check your Apple store purchases. ‼️Caveat emptor… that’s Latin for LET THE BUYER BEWARE‼️ Shame on you, dictionary.com! You’ve become a disgrace, you have no ethics!
