Best dictionary ever. But it's not just the dictionary....

I love the dictionary so much because there's so many definitions from different dictionaries. There's also a stellar homepage with Quotes of the Day (always really good & from reputable people), The Word of the Day (which is normally a word that can actually be used in an essay or real life), Article of the Day (always interesting and pertinent information to today's world), etc. You can even get notifications for the Word of the Day or Quote of the Day or whatever. What I don't like is that you can't get notifications for both the Quote of the Day and the Word of the Day, for example. That is to say, you can only get notifications for one item.

This has got it all and so much more...extremely useful for those that love words and their meaning(s)...i use it all the time to help me have a better understanding of words I know & those that are new to me...thorough and informative...it opens doors to me and i use it much for personal adventure...reading & knowledge are still fundamental even for this grandads...

Every time I change phones or buy a tablet or get a new PC, I have to spend another 3.99 for access to the pro version. The ads are annoying, so I choke and buy. The offline is very nice, so I choke and buy. Having multiple dictionaries with one app is the cat's meow, so I choke and buy, etc. Must be the way TFD makes (more) $ or £, whatever, it's worth the 4 bucks, but it is becoming really annoying, plus finding TFD to complain is a hassle, if one can find it at all. I did once, years ago, so I suspect they made it harder. Grrrrr

This app was very good when I started using it. It became better now, with synonyms, antonyms and examples of use. Congrats!!

I have been using the free version for a while now and just bought the paid version today ($3.99?) to be just fair to the developers...these guys are brilliant minds. I could care less about the ads but just being fair is right, a just trade.
