The dictionary app is great. But I dislike apps that force you to review it by interrupting your usage and force you to review it.

I truly enjoy this app I use it all the time. There are times that I hear a word that I’ve never heard before and have no idea what it means and if I can pronounce it the same way this app will find it and explain it, great app!

This is the only dictionary that I use on my electronic devices. It has easy assessable tools. Awesome!

This is one of the most awesome dictionary apps out there, and does wonders especially if you’re online and have Internet access. It is also accessible with VoiceOver, Apple’s screen reader for the visually impaired. However, I can’t figure out how to use the audio pronunciation feature with VoiceOver. Furthermore, The app has a couple of unlabeled buttons at the bottom of the application window. I also suggest that the app be updated in a way that it can use the latest revisions made to the American Heritage Dictionary of the English language. Currently the app uses a slightly older revision of AHD 5. I wholeheartedly recommend this app to anyone who has a vested interest in English.

I don't like bad words either! I like good words sometimes too!

Dictionaries can be quite bland and just plain boring and a drudgery to sift through. The FreeDictionary is a relief from the aforementioned, and also has content that veers from the typical; adding features such as the mindful articles related to the terms you search. The thesaurus is a robust way to form a refreshing vernacular. The price is steep, but it still is worth the four dollars. It blows the competitors away with its versatility. I'd love to share my thoughts with the devs.

Ones’ daily opportunity to gain a bit more enlightenment. Great for life long learners.

I have recommended this app to many of my friends and acquaintances. I use several features that improve vocabulary and spelling. I also frequently use this app instead of a search engine when looking for information. The immediate access to other resources such as Medical, Legal, and Financial Dictionaries plus Wikipedia, and an Encyclopedia also prove useful for saving time while giving added depth when desired. Using the word exercises are like a friendly workout for ones cognitive functions. If you sign up (which is free) you initially earn “encouragement reward” symbols, but then you begin earning a symbol of a fork that indicates your points have been converted to funds to feed a hungry child. That is a very worthwhile and encouraging reward! If you don’t have this app, you’re missing a really useful and effective tool!
