Comprehensive dictionary. Word games are fun and challenging, but idiom video is a time waster. Also leans heavily toward British history and English, rather than American. Still, it's the best dictionary app I've found, bar none. Update 10/19/17: Now 5 stars with addition of anchored browsing. Idiom video still a time waster, but a minor complaint in an otherwise excellent app. Maybe it's just me, but it now seems more balanced between British and American English. Update 12/28/17: still a great app, but I don’t understand why “sense” isn’t an acceptable Wordhub answer. It doesn’t make sense to me.

A great tool to find all what you really want in the gamut of knowledge. As a second review: though I have to tell, updates is been done couple of times but to amaze us even more. Kudos. As of 10/17/2017 A.D. As a third review: This time since November 27, 2017 I am experiencing nary experience on opening my TFD's App tapping it up too many times sometime with no avail, but still I like this App and I think have have to do with my e-mail address. I’m a word enthusiast (read that nut), and this is clearly the best dictionary app I’ve got out of several. I highly recommend it!

Complete definitions. Dig deeper for historical and etymological info if you wish. Just great. Buy the Pro version. Not because it's better, but because these guys are GREAT!

I make my living as a writer and translator, and the Farlex FreeDictionary has been my go-to dictionary and thesaurus for over six years. The Farlex app is fast, comprehensive, customizable, and easy to navigate. The app also includes a number of UI niceties and fun features that make it enjoyable for “word nerds” like me to just poke around and explore words and concepts in multiple languages.

I LOVE writing, word use, language and thesauruses. I’ve tried so many Dictionary apps, I’ve lost count. Ironically, the app version of well known volumes (Oxford, Miriam Webster) are horrible. They are so dumbed down that they might help someone who is barely literate. 20 years ago, I joined Dictionary.com desktop version (before mobile apps existed). Once I started using the Dictionary.com mobile app it was the gold standard of dictionaries until Farley’s TheFreeDictionary. This is superior in just about every way. It’s truly easy to use and provides WAY more info. It’s easy to navigate and I use it almost daily. I tried the free version first and upgraded soon after. This is one of my most used and favorite apps.
