Good idea but poorly implemented
Dicato

1. App requires to log in each time, even on personal devices; should remember user, else point of app useless 2. Once app is installed, pop up window appears each time when app is opened, reminding user than there is an app. Entirely redundant as when app is opened, app is obviously already installed. 3. Crashes frequently. Great idea and city is very responsive. Thank you! Unfortunately, the app was done by a hobbyist.

Nice idea, clunky implementation

1. STOP advertising the app inside the app!! I already have it, I don't need the announcement every time I go to the app home screen. 2. Clunky navigation. Very difficult to locate sub menu items. 3. Why can't I stay logged in? Very frustrating to have to login every time I check on the status of a request.

Great in theory, not always in practice

When the app is working, I’ve successfully submitted service requests that have all been resolved to my satisfaction. However, 90% of the time the app crashes or after I try to submit a request, it just spins. I have no idea where to submit a support request either, since there’s no help feature on the app.

Does not work
Bosscrab

Can’t submit a case. Also the app is very slow. The website does work though.

Bad app to get bad city services
nhzero

90% of the time I try to submit a problem from this app it just spins forever. The app won’t save a draft, so you have to go through the entire submission process every time this happens. I suggest taking pictures and submitting when you get to a desktop. Even when the submission works, most of the time 311 just closes the request with either zero comments or cryptic comments that don’t make sense. I’m guessing the city keeps this app around as a placebo.

Terrible UI

When i drag the cursor in a text field, it shows the view underneath in the zoom window. i can’t see he text in which i am trying to reposition the cursor!

Get Better!!

App doesn’t allow you to save your sign-in and/or password, you have to put it in every time. Under request, no place for “residential parking enforcement”. One can’t submit a request to have 1 or more vehicles ticketed, due to 1. no residential parking pass, 2. non ward RP, 3. out of state, no RP pass. Response time is very slow.

Horrible App
baisasa

I think the point is to have people so frustrated using the app they stop complaining Wow A light touch and the screen slides to the right and then you have to start over

Brittle, clunky, and slow. Just call 311.

This app is really, really, really hard to use. It is extremely picky about entering a service location or address, even for cases where this should not be necessary. Honestly you are better off just calling the number or making an online request through a proper website.

Failed the basics
Food for Thot

New APP lists ALL the city’s citizen requests, instead of my request (even after downloading new APP and choosing new password as instructed). This is a basic fail in that the developer did not test or did not care or did not understand the functions AS WELL the Mayor’s office in charge of the service did not have its responsible staffers test the APP. Really sad that DC staff allowed themselves to be embarrassed by this fail on so many levels. Please try harder, we depend on you and would like to be supportive.
