Screws over Plus users

Johnnerss

Company forces Plus users to pay for Premium, rather than to give an option to extend their Plus status to another device. Unethical, BS.

An important part of my life

hisaac

This app is an important part of my life, and has become even more so as time has gone on. The app reminds me each day if I’ve got entries from that day from previous years, and allows me to read them together. I’ve been using the app for over five years now, so I’ve been able to reflect and learn from how I’ve changed and how I’ve remained the same.

Love it!

I love this app because it is simple and available, and very user friendly, I use it almost everyday!

I love this app and use it every day. I have a journal for work, Life and workouts.

The best journal app available!

CLTTime

DayOne truly is the best app for journaling I have found available. Pros: Available in multiple platforms - iPad, iMac and iPhone and now Android. Supports the addition of multiple photos to your daily journal. Supports multiple journals so if you keep a work journal, travel journal, etc... I have used Day One since the first version was released. The developers have continued to improve the functionality and to keep it fresh and up to date so that it remains the best journaling application on the market.

Great and Easy Journaling

Addi2128

I love the DayOne app and how easy it is to use! I don’t love to post on social media, but with this app, I can “write a post” but keep it private. I love being able to add pictures and stories that I want to look back on in the future. Great app if you have kids because it’s quick and easy but memories will be there forever!

Great design but you’re better off with Notes

Wade Boggs

I liked this app a lot a few years ago. But since they’ve gone with a subscription model where you have to pay money to sync with iCloud, it’s quite likely you’ll lose your journal unless you pay. I journaled quite frequently 3 years ago and now cannot access those entries because the sync feature is ‘premium.’ Since you never know how the business model will change , you’re better off with Notes or pen and paper if you are interested in saving something meaningful.

No pressure to write long journals

Who has time to spend 20-30 minutes every night to journal? Why not take a few minutes at various times of the day to journal! Day One is an excellent app with a beautiful interface and great features that allow me to do just that. Highly recommend it.

Great, will be better

Tsgununu

My choice for keeping the diary. I would love to see a night/dark mode (kills my eyes every night...), ability to see photographs in a row, not full size for each. Otherwise it’s awesome, thanks.

Rip off!

GrumpySiri

1 - They stopped supporting version 1.0 that people legitimately bought 2 - They made 2.0 and require people buy a subscription instead for THEIR cloud instead of supporting iCloud
