I love this app so much I think the only complaint I have is that I can't password protect it but other then that it's a great app and there are absolutely no crashes.

Not only does this app have brilliant short starting phrases to spin off of when Starting Lines is turned on, but its lightning icon (producing new prompts and thought-provoking ideas) provides unique yet helpful ways to overcome writer's block. The design in Prompts - For Writers is beautiful and easy to use with simple one-touch saving and an autosave option. My favourite feature has to be the option to set a writing reminder; combined with the prompts, I write daily now! This app earns an easy five stars and should be a writing staple for anyone, whether struggling to write, dealing with writer's block, lacking ideas, or simply looking for a new way to write. Congrats to the creator, Tanner Christiansen!
Exceeded my expectations

I use this for foreign language study in order to find things to write about. I haven't yet used this for writing in English yet, but I do plan on it in the future. Great, great ideas.

Crashes, erases progress

After a few minutes of writing a new prompt, the app crashes on my 4S on iOS7 and doesn't save any of the work. This happens /every/ time and it even happens with already saved prompts, though it will thankfully save the work in that situation. Please fix this, guys. I loved this app before this recent "update" broke it for me.

Great app. Syncs w/ Dropbox, too. Really gets your mind out to stuck places with clever little prompts.
Young writers

I love this app! As a young writer, I find topics hard to come by and the "starting lines" option helps me a lot. I see each starting line as an assignment and try to write a minimum of two complete sentences. My hat's off to you guys, kudos!

I love this app! It allows me to come up with short stories and paragraphs that are interesting and helps me warm up my writing!

I like to write on my journal on tumblr and prompts helps. Get it if you are wanting to write more creatively.
