The amount of courses and knowledge available to the public is unimaginable. It is THE BEST learning app anyone can find.
It looks like mobile app is there just for the sake of having an app. It does not have great UI/UX. It does not support all the great features that web version does. It has number of bugs that nobody is fixing over time, but we still have to use it....
I started my Coursera experience on my Android tablet rather reluctantly. While taking a bunch of Blender and Python courses with Udemy I figured why not give this a try it's with Google and I can get an actual certificate I can do something with (it'll bolster my AA). But I ran into an issue when I attempted to switch credit cards. Then there was the issue of the email account. After loosing access to an old gmail account over a decade ago due to a hacker, I no longer use my primary email account when I test run any online offer. Turns out Coursera doesn't allow users to just change email addresses, cards, etc. Overall my experience was great but I've since deleted my account. I've got courses with Udemy and course to complete there without deadlines so I don't feel under the gun. Maybe I'll try again later.
Prof. speaks in easy going manner explaining by using visual cartoons, stories, and funny noises to keep you awake. He has a passion and enjoys teaching Psychology.
In order to be an informed citizen you should be familiar with the tools being used in today’s world. With the coronavirus and many of the safe guards, I.e. preprints, against dubious medical studies being taken down being familiar with what is being presented as medical studies can save your life.
I am always seeking to learn and it speaks volumes to see companies like Google recognizing that learning is on a time continuum wavelength that is always elevating and unfolding into the future. Coursera provides a welcoming environment to learn what the growing world needs thanks team!
Coursera in general is super useful and the courses are great (shorter but of similar quality to regular college courses). But this app’s video player is awful. It frequently stops to buffer, even though my WiFi connection is strong enough for YouTube, Netflix and other video apps to work fine. Worse, when it finally does load, only the audio continues while the video is stuck at whatever frame it was on when the buffering started. I have to close and reopen the lecture every few minutes when this happens.
