Many of us love this game, but made difficult to play

Gems are a problem. There are too few ways to earn them. I've spent 20,000 coins at the casino and never got lucky to get one gem. I'll play for about 2-3 hours before I even get 7 gems and that's only good (practically) for one upgrade. I'll then buy gems (which I absolutely hate a game I can't earn what I need without buying them) but even at that, they go too quickly because the upgrades are so expensive. It's frustrating.

Heads up players, this first restaurant open to us, is hard. You must upgrade cooking appliances before even starting the levels. The grill's knife is unbelievably slow you can't even pass the second level with 1 star.

I have been playing Sunset Waffles for sometime since it became available. I upgraded the equipment that is now back square one. Can I get my equipment upgraded back to where I had them please?
Lost upgrades on update

I never make in-app purchases. The one time I did in Cooking Fever, I lost my upgrades to the Bakery after I did the update from the App Store. Really unhappy now that I had used 12 of the jewels I purchased with real money to upgrade the bakery only to have to lose it all and start with the basics but remained at the same level. Never ever going to make an in app purchase again.
