This was a fantastic game until they updated it. Now unplayable. Please fix.

Couldn't tell you if it's a good game or not... Bought the game and it has never opened!

Worst AI I have ever seen in a hex-based wargame. The AI will place artillery and planes on the front line, send precious surface fleets to attack piecemeal against incredible odds, and is incapable of any sort of strategic or even operational offensive. As the CP it actually abandons the Western Front to send German armies to attack Serbia (ineffectually). You can just keep hitting End Turn for the first two months of the game as the Entente without moving a single piece and the CP still will perform horribly. Once your side has a line of armies it's all over for the AI as it will never break through. When I play as the CP the French will shuffle units and leave Verdun or Calais empty. Sigh.

Such a great detailed game.Turn based strategy at its best.One thing I would like to see is once you meet all the requirements for a victory there's no way to continue.I would love to continue the war past the set requirements.

I loved this game so much, and then, it started freezing once it was the end turn. I can't even finish a turn.

This game is hands down the best wargame on my iPad. Which is why it's such a horrible shame the thing keeps crashing to desktop at then end of turns far too often. I would muscle through it if upon reloading a turn or two back I could get past the crash point, but it is not to be. Please fix this game, Slitherine. You're better than this.

The game is one of the best, and only, hex games for ipad. Pros Graphics clean Rules simple Production well done Technology advances Cons AI not great Diplomacy poor Takes many hours, which to me is not ipad at best Still, i liked the game, and return to play it every few months. Recommend

Challenging Victorian Era AI for iPad

I had been looking for a WW1 / Victoria era strategy game for my iPad for awhile now. I'm a programmer so I simply can't sit at my computer anymore than I already do and CTGW fills that void for me. So far the AI is challenging but I'm guessing at some point I'll have mastered it enough to know how to cheat around it. Otherwise the randomization and ahistorical flows will hopefully backfill the cheating aspect, but time will tell. BUY THIS if you're THAT kind of war gamer and have been looking for a real strategy game for the iPad. That is all.

I wished I would never do this but you left me no choice when I leave the game,even when I save it I can't hear the sound you know what I mean please do an update,feels like you abandoned us -_- on this game.......
