Not for Original Books

HrseAle

Despite what the top review popping-up says, you can NOT download the original app (1.0? The DAQRI one), because it’s been discontinued. Even though Crayola still sold/is selling these, the app does not work. Wish they could see my 4yo crying right now to appreciate what this decision means. You have to purchase a Color Alive 2.0 book to have this app work which honestly, I don’t want to do because who knows when 3.0 will come out and all will be gone again. Will not purchase. Come on Crayola. Why not just add the old coloring books to this app?

Bummer

My daughter spent a while coloring Elsa hoping to see her come to life on the app. Unfortunately we had the older Frozen book and the app didn’t work. The picture on the app was literally a mirror image of the one she had colored. Not only do I feel cheated but I had to explain to a 5 year old that we’d been had. Thanks Crayola. Also why can’t you give a 0 star review?

My daughter was so excited to see her drawings come to life, only to disappoint her by finding out we needed the original version wasn’t available! What’s wrong with you Crayola?

Terrible.

Takes forever to load...plus the older app version is GONE. So a lot of the color alive books that are STILL sold at Walmart and other stores are POINTLESS. You cannot get the old app so you cannot make your pictures come to life. I will not let family or myself WASTE money on the Crayola Color Alive books .. not even the 2.0 versions. DONT BOTHER EVERYONE.

If I could give zero stars I would. My 6 year old is in tears over not being able to bring her pictures to life. She colored for 2 days only to find this app will not work with her fairie coloring book. I suggest either getting the old app back on the store ASAP or adding the old books to the new app. I am shocked and appalled at Crayola. Shame on you!!!!

A joke.

Same as everyone else. No app for older books which they still sell. Guess it’s the new way of business. Once the new product comes out discontinue old products and usability.

Disappointed Kid

@thorndale

Don’t sell coloring books you no longer support. App upgrades should not make a line of products you currently sell obsolete. Put version 1 back up or make this work with all books or you owe everyone a refund. Your coloring books currently being sold falsely advertise this functionality. Crayola should be embarrassed and was once a better company.

Have to have a 2.0 book

Shell1234567

Got two of these coloring books went to the app to only find out you have to have 2.0 coloring books for this to work as they no longer have the old version?... lame

Where’s the first version?

Why remove the first version? I bought a bunch of these books on clearance for my patients to use only to be disappointed that the first version of the app is no longer in the app store and the books I got require the first version. I don’t get why not have one app for all the books they have.

So lame. Who decided it’s ok to discontinue old books!?

My 4 year old is finally coloring and was super excited to try out his Color Alive books we’ve had for a while. Some bonehead at crayola decided they’d discontinue the first set of books. C’mon!
