Cute concept, app doesn't work

Jojo kiddo 189

Anything I do on the app returns with a "time out error", "unable to process request error", or any other error message that doesn't let the cloud pet work whatsoever. It took about 30min to get it to process and add the second cloud pet. I sent a message that shows on the parent profile, but I can't get it to show on the child's profile to send it to the pet. The app desperately needs an update to run smoothly.

Great toy, Great idea, HORRIBLE EXECUTION

Joonboi

My daughter just received this toy for Christmas, and she instantly fell in love with it. We tried to set up the app and saw that there are TWO versions (the toy NEVER mentions this) so I try the free app and see its VERY buggy. I figured that maybe the paid version with the extra features would be more polished. I was WRONG! This version has added features like a game (even though the section says GAMES) and stories(two only) and lullabies (didn't bother with them yet), but it is still plagued by many of the connection issues that the free version has. Even worse, is that the main feature of this toy, the voice messaging, is where the problems lie in the app. It CONSTANTLY gives errors about connecting thousands of times within a minute. Overall the app is barely usable and it feels as if it was not well executed. I will be asking for a refund on this app, and hopefully the problems plaguing both versions are fixed soon so that my daughter can FULLY enjoy the toy.

Story not downloading

I bought the premium app for the stories, but it isn't downloading

$5 and the app doesn't even work

ES8309

I paid $5 for this app because the free version wasn't working and we have this stuffed animal now, so I wanted to get it to work... and I just keep getting the same error message over and over. "Something has gone wrong. Please try again." Very frustrated.

What a crappy app.

I paid $4.99 for this app that just keeps crashing. My 4-year-old got this unicorn from her grandparents for Christmas. If it wouldn't devastate her, I would've thrown the unicorn in the wood stove by now and demanded a refund for the app. What a pile of crap.

DO NOT BOTHER

Phaedra388

The app doesn't work. They toy doesn't work. The video tutorial is useless. The support email I sent bounced. It's no wonder that Amazon has this toy on sale for $11.29 down from $39.99. I will ask for a refund for both the app and the toy. It's a shame that this company manufactured a toy and didn't bother developing a decent app.

Love but has room for improvement

**Jesus Freak**

My four year old loves her unicorn! She got it for Christmas and is looking forward to receiving messages from grandparents from out of town. Although we had a few errors pop up saying the app sent too many requests within a minute, we would close the app and step away for a few minutes then go back and return to the setup. It's really easy to record and send messages to the cloud pet. I have noticed that in order for the message from the CloudPet to be received by my phone, I have to be IN the app while she's recording the message and hits send.

Do not pay for this

Chi Mac

The cloud pet puppy was a Christmas gift for my son. We were so excited to have it read him stories and to be able to send him messages. The free app was garbage so I paid the $5. I have continuous connection errors and it cannot connect to play stories. I'm so disappointed. Plus if it ever works, there are only 4 stories for this price! In addition the songs don't have words, just music. I thought this would be a fun learning toy but it's not. With all the people who bought this, the app needs to be updated or money refunded!

Needs some tweaks, but really genius

One step that is missing from the tutorial is that you have to be in the app, on the child's profile WHILE the message is being recorded on the pet in order to send it. Besides all the errors - which are annoying but if you try enough times it eventually goes through - the one big feature this app needs is PUSH NOTIFICATIONS PLEASE. We should not expect a 70 year old grandma to send us a text letting us know there's a message waiting for our kid. This is an absolute must for a messaging app. Big flaw there. Other than that, the concept is brilliant, and in spite of what everyone is complaining about, it really does work well.

Great concept, customer support not interested in feedback

Got this toy, and app, for my child so that he could get messages from family since we live out of town. It was easy to set up and use, though the paid app is pretty much necessary if you have the main account due to all the bugs, which was not mentioned in any of the literature. Anyhow, there are several fixes that I think would increase the use of the app, which include, at the top, PUSH NOTIFICATIONS. I also noticed that pictures could be assigned to contacts once they are invited, but they only show up on the users' end, not the child's. By this, what I mean is that, because my child is unable to read, if the pictures also came through to the receiver's end, he could have the opportunity to send messages to the person he wants based on their pictures/faces. I have sent inquiries regarding these suggestions as well as other questions I had pertaining to the the app, and not only did it take over a month (and several messages) to get s response, but once I did get a response, I was told that "they have been made aware of some of the issues with the app (such as being able to select push notifications but not receiving them) and while they understand those concerns, they have no plans to make any changes to the app in the future." Great customer service I guess.
