Use this app everyday. Fabulous for getting around New York and have used it a few times in other cities. Just keeps getting better and handier. Best feature is that it includes all modes of transportation in one app.

I cannot even begin to state how much of a life saver this app is... There were a few minor quirks but still a 5 star app!!

Garbage!

This app is garbage. There's no option to show walking distance for a commute, solely walking time. How can they possibly know how long it will take people of differing walking speeds to walk the same distance? Not to mention, the distance might be relevant should you be carrying luggage, should it be inclement out or should you be dressed for a fancy event... You can't minimize walking distance either! It didn't occur to me to check the walking time of all segments of a trip before committing to it, and the most recent one left me at the York St stop under the Brooklyn Bridge at midnight with a mile-long walk to my destination. Seriously, Citymapper?! That seemed like a reasonable commute to you? I ended up calling an Uber rather than attempting to follow Citymapper's shoddy walking directions, which aren't directions at all, but sometimes, faint arrows on a map, but more often, just a blue dot that occasionally updates as you stumble along, guessing as to the correct direction. This app also repeatedly mid-guessed the length of my commute, estimating 30 minutes and then, as I sat waiting for the bus after allotting 45 minutes for the trip, updated the estimate to an hour! I was drawn to Citymapper due to the fare estimates shown, but it's not worth it. Don't waste your time with this app. You'll be disappointed (and possibly stranded, like I was!)

Prefer this over Google Maps for in-city directions. The depth of information you get on public transport is phenomenal, including updates about delays, etc. I've never had any problems with the walking directions, and the variations on routes it gives for biking are excellent (includes locations of bike shares too!). In my opinion, this is an essential app if you live in a city.

Great for commuting alternatives in DC

Much prefer this to Moovit for commuting in and around DC. It's not perfect, but it's my go-to for seeing what my options are.

Who ever created this app is a genius. I live near the subway. I check to see when the train will arrive so I can dash to train station or bus stop or just wait at home instead of waiting in the subway especially in the heat of summer. This works great for the bus and trains near my house. I use it every day.

I keep reviewing this app because it keeps on stinking. Today putting a clear-cut origin address and destination address and when I tried to press go it just kept asking me to define both again and again and again. I miss hop stop so much will use Google maps and try to avoid this app in the future if I could give zero stars I would

I should say... Thank you to the developers of this app! This helped us family to figure out our way to the busiest city on earth New York. Specially, my family looks up on me when it comes to directions... It's a life saver!
