This Present Darkness

annepoet

After going through the many steps to set up an account and figure out how the pints worked, I downloaded this book and started listening to it. I had read the book’s previously and have hard copies of them... the beginning of the reading of this book is not the beginning of the actual book... I’m not sure where they’ve picked up the recording, but it’s not chapter one.. very disappointed

Magnificent

Does the job

DMakri

Accomplishes it’s purpose. Would be nice if it took some ideas from the Audible or Apple Books app to allow for browsing of books available for purchase, etc. Great company though and very competitive prices.

Hope in My Ears

Ms. E-Money

I love listening to audiobooks on Christian Audio in my car, on walks, and while doing chores. Having messages of hope and encouragement in my ears at moments when my brain might otherwise have shifted into anxiety has been a sanity saver for me. I also love that Christian audio has a free book each month I can download even when I can’t afford something new that month. The app is easy to use, the audio quality is great, and I’m more than satisfied with it.

Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus

Happy at Jesus feet

Purchasing the audio book yesterday seemed like a lot of pages to navigate & I couldn’t figure out how to hear the audio. Today I found the app on my phone & once I logged in & downloaded it, it was easy. Thanks!

Good books, frustrating app

Oreo Double Stuf

I love ChristianAudio’s selection of books - I own more than 200 of them. The app itself is a different animal. After a few hours of disuse, it often forgets where I was in a book, and I have to start the track over (which is no big deal if they’re eight-minute chapters but is a hassle on some of the older and/or bigger books where the tracks are more than an hour long). The lack of chapter titles - numbers only - is another fault. Again, I’m a loyal customer and will stay so.

Great!

Love this App!

Like it but app needs improvement

I love the selection but I’d love to see Micah Wilder’s book Passport to Heaven. I’d also like it if the book would pause while I’m heading directions with my GPS.

Needs much improvement

Bryan Gammel

I’m grateful for the platform with which to listen to the titles available, but the functionality of this app is very poor. The playback function glitches in many different ways that I don’t have time to describe here. Other reviews describe difficulty with managing content, etc., and I have had similar experiences. It has not been updated in over a year as far as its operation, so that is long overdue. Even as I was writing this review the app continued to play the title I was just listening to after I had already closed the app! It’s time to make this app work the way it should!

Great Resource! Easy to Navigate!

This app is very straightforward and easy—which is especially helpful for commuters who need a simple screen interface while driving. I recommend this app to anyone looking for quality Christian content to listen to!
