Had the app open for less than a minute and thirty seconds, and was forced to watch two ads that wouldn’t close properly. Maybe the story is great. I’ll never know.

After the final story update, which took years to make a rather quick ending, I finally finished all of the stories. So I left the app alone for a long time, until I was ready to start all over again. I’ve been through the stories 4 times so far. Now, after not using it for a couple years, I decided to start the stories. I get two or three pages in, I get a full screen persistent ad. It forces you to the App Store. I blew it off the first time, two more pages in, I go through the same struggle with an ad for yet a different game. Now I am only like 6 pages into the game. I have already had three ads. I am now deleting. This is a “choice” game yet you do not have a choice but to watch ads for no purpose or benefit.

Three clicks—two ads. Each click gets you one to two lines of text. Then an ad. I spent more time watching ads than I did reading the few lines I got starting a story. Instantly deleted.

Play the game for 20 seconds, watch a 30 second ad. Play another 20 seconds, watch another ad. Don’t bother with this pathetic cash grab.

Don’t get me wrong I fully understand and support the use of ads so developers can make money. In fact, I appreciate the option to watch ads to earn tickets to progress in the story. However, there’s an ad after almost 2-3 clicks. I thought purchasing the 100 tickets would stop but I still get the frequent ads which is annoying because I can’t get I got the feel of the story. I want to give it a higher rating bc the atmosphere and story are so good! The fact that Moti can appear on my Apple Watch is so immersive and makes me really feel a part of the adventure. I suggest they either choose a better time to show the ads (ie in between arcs or during slow moments of the story) or give an option to pay for no ads (which I will gladly do!!). I sincerely hope they take this into consideration bc I love everything about this game except for the ads ?

Way too many ads and wayyyy too often. I got nowhere in the story I picked because the ads just rip you from the experience. Every now and then would be okay, but I can’t get through 3 or 4 lines of text before another ad pops up. It really is a shame because from what I’d gotten a chance to read, it seems like the stories would be interesting.

I never review apps, but I just had to for this one. The writers and developers of this app are extremely talented. I’ve only finished one story so far, AND THE SUN WENT OUT, and I’m just blown away by the intricate details, action-filled plot, and unique world building. It kept me questioning and guessing the entire time. The whole “choose your own path” aspect was very cool! As a writer, it’s hard to finish just one storyline — nevertheless 5, 10, 25, or more unique paths your main character can take. I can’t wait to finish the other two stories… but, I’m equally as interested in going through SUN again, with alternate choices. If you do the free version, as I tried to do in the beginning, there’s a lot of ads that interrupt the pacing of the story. Plus, more ads to gain choice tickets. Eventually I caved and bought the pass — let me tell you! It was SO WORTH IT. Get the pass (only a few dollars!!!) and enjoy the incredible, awesome storytelling that awaits you in this app.
