The only app on my iPhone that freezes

I don’t understand why a simple chess app is the only app on my iPhone 10R that freezes. Typically it only freezes when I level up a pawn, which makes no sense. Today, it froze mid-game. I may have to delete it.

There will be times when you get ahead that it will have a pawn turn into a bishop or it will be able to kill the pawn when is shouldn't be able to

AI will put you in checkmate but only call it check, not finishing the game. AI will also do advanced moves that you can’t do, like castling the king.
The app that started it all for me

When I was 14 just entering high school I saw a friend of mine playing this game in between classes and was transfixed. I was always curious how to play chess so I decide to download it. I started out on easy and googled the basic rules. I played this app every day for a long time. It has its faults for sure as some have pointed out. It will play random openings then defend well at mid range-high levels, and isn’t the best chess app out there (that’s would be chess.com or lichess). Despite that, this app has been solid for a long time. The look, feel, and relaxing music have barely changed. I learned how to play on this app and went from a sub 800 player to a 1700 player today and I’ve played online every day for almost a decade now. It’s a decent chess app and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to learn.

I’m not a newbie I’m more of an advanced player or a mediocre, but there was an incident one time where I had move very carefully and finally was able to corner their queen without losing mine(since the game will give up it’s queen only in return for yours). I made the move and took their queen and then right after it changed their own pawn into a bishop and launched across the board and snatched my queen. The one time I had gotten to their queen the game cheated I have video proof because I screen recorded it as well. Don’t download this game if you want a good game of chess!
