The game is horrible when it comes to computer games, they do chess moves that you do in checkers. I’ve been playing chess for a long time and it isn’t a real chess move.

When I was playing under “Celebrity” which is the computer mode the system CHEATED. A pawn someone how killed my other pawn side ways. That’s IMPOSSIBLE. What a horrible app. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Frequently while facing computers to get practice, it will glitch and pawns are able to take pieces that they shouldn’t be able to.

They had gone from annoyingly too hard to a reasonable game. It was better and I used it several times a week. However, with the latest update, it requires selecting “players” to play against. You used to be able to select the level you wanted to play at and simply play your game. Now there’s lots of unnecessary selections. Call me paranoid, but this is a simple chess game. It now requires lots of clicks and selections just to play a game of chess. Why?! I don’t trust the changes, so I’m going to delete the game after this review. This app has gone from good to okay when they started being more greedy with the ads. Now with the latest update it’s gotten closer to the delete level. Even level 5 is now unbeatable and the app crashes often. I’ll be winning the game and all of the sudden the app is closed. Reopen to find the game is gone.

Not what I wanted.

Not exactly what I wanted. I was hoping to play a normal game of chess either against the computer or other players and kept getting sent into rooms with moves already aligned where I had to solve pre-ready games. It was very upsetting that there wasn’t a game mode to just play normal chess.

Overall Decent App - Pawn glitch, pricey, video issue

Overall I like the app and have spent a lot of time on it lately. One issue happens when I play against computer players. It’s happened twice today. I move one of my pawns from its starting position 2 spaces forward where I am directly between 2 enemy pawns. Then the enemy pawn moves diagonally as if I had only moved 1 space and takes my pawn. It’s clearly a glitch. Very annoying. Also, I know these apps are in business to make $, but I feel like the content behind the paywall is a bit expensive given you can find a lot of it on the internet/YouTube for free.

Some of time it will end the game claiming stalemate even though I have the king cornered it’s never in your favor on several occasions it has happened while playing the computer. I am just learning the game so for broad strokes it has taught me a lot. And yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled it.

Need screen size update

Love chess and your app, but it needs an update for iPhone 11 Pro screen size because the sides of the app display are cutoff. In particular, my last move gets cutoff on the right hand side of the screen, especially if a piece is taken or there is check.
