Competing the computer, I lose lose and lose, but I replay, replay and replay. I just cannot stop thinking of defeating it.
I've never seen a checker AI cheat! Same stupid move in the corner until I get bored? IDIOTIC!
I don't like this game. It forces you to make jumps only to have the comp jump you after the move.
This is terrible! It won't allow you to make the moves you want. You are forced to make jumps which allows the computer to beat you everytime!
If you are a beginner and want to know what moves not to make then this is the game for you. Also, be careful because the computer likes to have a stand off and it will never make a new move unless you trap it to make a new move, that's lame. Seriously, it will jump in a corner and keep making the same move and make you come after it. The medium is still easy. Be careful when making double jumps but not making the second jump because the computer will not make another move, think it got mad. After that, if you hit back or new then the game just locks up. Really needs fixing.
This is really a great game. I feel sorry for the manufacturer as i don't think the previous bad reviewers totally understand how the game of checkers is played at a more advanced level. most USA and international checkers tournaments play with a force jump rule. I think some reviewers do not know this. I am a mid level checkers player and can easily beat the game on the easiest difficulty setting. However, it proves more challenging at the more advanced levels. The corner the computer sometimes retreats to and stays in is a standard move and one can easily drive it out of the corner if they follow a simple envelopment strategy. This game forces you to learn standard moves to become a much better checkers player. The only complaint I have is that this version does not have the ability to declare a draw. If, towards the end of a game, both players have only one or two checkers each, it is impossible to win the game and you can't declare a draw. The computer will not give up. You either have to quit the current game or intentionally lose. Once I know in my head I've played to a draw, I usually quit and start a new game. this is a great game and can teach you how to be a great checkers player if you simply study and observe how the Computer plays against you and takes advantage of your mistakes. Copy what it does for the most part and you will learn how to win!
