By far my favorite app to learn Chinese. Easy to use, nice options, and very enjoyable. Just what I wanted. This app is the best undiscovered if you want to learn Chinese in my opinion.
The app itself is great, really functional. Unfortunately they used secondary or tertiary definitions for some really basic words, and totally failed to include the primary definitions. Words like 的 ("of", defined as "aim"), 吃 ("eat", defined as "stammer"), 好 ("good", defined as "fond of"). So ... 好吃的 "tasty" comes out to mean something like "enjoy stammering at".
I love this app. I use it often. I have learned a lot. Thank you so much!!!
The cards cover all the important characters, and individually they are easy to use and accurate. BUT - there is no search function, making it incredibly inconvenient to use. I did the first 1000 characters in a long marathon session the other afternoon, and today I wanted to start on character 1001, but the app starts at character 1 again, with no way to get directly to character 1001!!! Do they think anyone is going to manually flip through 1000 character cards??? Sorry, but NO. This app needs work to be useful.
