The dice roll algorithm needs an overhaul. The roll of the dice follows the last placement of the robber FAR too often.

The dice rolls favor the AI. The robber lands on your number you can guarantee that number will roll next. If you dont have a shared number with the AI dont bet on it ever being rolled.

Once you have the settings right (rapid speed, no commentary, sound off) it’s so good. Can play over and over again. My best friend on long haul flights and a perfect before-bed game for my boyfriend and me. Keeps us sharp for the IRL games. Highly recommend

Finally had enough

Like many here, I occasionally wanted to throw my phone across the room. My temporary solution was to quit and come back later when my disgust had worn off. No more. I don’t need the frustration that this game causes with its crummy AI, so I’ve deleted it once and for all. Pity the authors can’t be bothered to correct the issues that are repeatedly brought up.

Great game but disappointing program

Like most of the other reviews, AI does seem to get rolls that are statistically hard to get and majority of the time in their favor. Even tried the dice “stack “ control but it didn’t do what it said it would do. AI almost knows the sequence of the next few dice rolls. What I am more disappointed in is thAt the developer responded to positive reviews but I couldn’t see any explanation on the negative reviews. It really shouldn’t be that hard to program the dice to roll independent from AI decision.

Instant issues

Purchased the game, went to create an account, the game said a verification email was sent to my email yet nothing came. I even attempted creating a different account with a new email and still nothing. Very mad.

Can’t even play

Just paid and downloaded and can’t even play an offline “first city” game. Every time you go for the menu to play game it completely closes the app.

Battery Life

Love the game. Have played all the scenarios and own all the expansions at home and on devices- iPad and phone. I find the wave motion in the background kills the battery life and it hardly noticeable action. Anyone else notice the amount it uses per game?

Great game but...

I playa few games on my phone and I’m used to winning 90% percent vs the computer - this will NOT happen if you get this game. I’m more like 40%? That’s not necessarily bad. I like a real challenge. At some point I need to do a statistical study to be sure but it sure feels like the robber is used by the AI in some bizarrely unlikely ways to crush me if I’m ahead at all. Like between knights and rolling a ‘7’4x in a row all landing on me and my beat resources while I roll a ‘7’ so rarely in those aituations - makes me wonder... Either way. I’m loving it.

Good, but a few things to work out

Overall, good app, good fun. “Options” should be available at all times. This helps when there are bugs around the audio and to turn off stupid auto-zoom.
