Stupid save game screen

OtterPirate

For some random reason the load a save game screen will pop up in the middle of the action and for some reason the developer decided not to let you exit out of the screen unless you select a save game and restart the app with it, this renders the game unplayable especially when the save game doesn’t have my latest progress. This is like one of the most basic blunders made by inexperienced programmers. Avoid until they get their act together

Lag & Slow Mechanics Are Unbearable

Kevin94z

Man this game is bad compared to previous Castlevania titles, especially SotN. The lag between pressing a button and the character completing the action is so slow it makes playing unbearable. It’s like playing a game with under 10 FPS. And the game is split up into randomized levels without the fun of questing for items and backtracking like in SotN. Instead you have to collect gems and other items to craft, purchase, or win a lottery. It’s just absent the spirit of the originals. The only good things are the graphics and soundtrack. Do yourself a favor and get the SotN port instead.

Grindy F2P Port

I’ve played all the levels and beat all bosses. The 5* drop rates overall are exceedingly low and not equal to each other, so prepare to waste tons of time if you desire to collect all 5* equipment. You don’t need all the 5* to beat the game, but after the levels are complete, what is left to do? What is the point of “Dispatch”? Gems? Elgos coins? Trial quills? Parchment? Souls? To consume your time with F2P mechanics that aren’t fun.

Fairly certain this game is already abandoned

It’s almost Christmas and the game hasn’t been updated since before Halloween with the Halloween event still being shown at live. Not sure why Apple chose to do business with Konami.

Great but…

Great game but it’s December 1st and we still have the update from Halloween. Need more gameplay.

Game broken

IlliniJon

I’ve gotten 75% through the game, but my save is now broken. I get the daily bonus, but then it goes to a black screen and sticks there. Unfortunate end to this one. :/

YAWN

The controls are good with a decent controler like an 8BitDo SN30 plus or something similar and the graphics are good …but that’s all. Unless I’m missing something there’s no substance, No exploration and no point!? just mindless 1 minute kill quests over and over and over from a central hub… you’ll be sick of it by the 20th “round” (about 30 minutes in) I believe there’s a story but if so it’s just as mind numbing as the rest of this monotonous hack and slash… I’d prefer ANY other Castlevania to this… PASS

GREAT GAME.

Fun but shallow game

Jar4937

This game is fun and still captures a bit of that Castlevania spirit. While playing this game for over a month now, at first it was really fun leaving up these characters and replaying levels with different play styles. However, with the fremium mechanic in place, the game really ends up being shallow with no depth. There’s no reason to do anything after the game is complete. Even if new content dropped, the game would still feel stale. There’s just not enough variation to keep the game fresh. Also, coins are just worthless and once you have a 5 star weapon all other equipment is useless! Finally, their seasonal event is just sad. How are you going to just run the same three levels on repeat with them repeating back to back sometimes. That’s just boring and lazy.

The controls

Do I need to give people an option on whether if they wanna use a physical joystick or not which means put a joystick on the board because controlling character becomes hard and a nuisance so please make joystick visible
