Spectacularly terrible and annoying

Each time I open the app I need to re-enter the reservation number in order to pull it up. Super annoying. Even after I log into my account it still always makes me log in manually again each time I open the app. And after you log in and click on the “my bookings” link it doesn’t even show you your bookings... it takes you to a search page. It’s as if they don’t want you to see your bookings. You at better off printing your rental confirmation on a piece of paper and carrying it in your pocket. The sole reason for an app like this is to be convenient and it fails that goal on every way.

Never got any warning about the special requirements for Florida residents, at the end couldn’t get a car, the rental place said, they were out of compact cars, and I had to go back to the airport and do a last minute rental at midnight!

FRAUD !!! Unfortunately I can’t give minus stars - in which case I would have given exactly -1500 stars - one for each € they’ve cost me! Short version I booked a car, received two confirmations on my booking, only to arrive at the airport and be instructed that the rental company had never confirmed their request for the car I booked and they confirmed twice and that they had been informed of this. Customer service then told me - go rent a car from another rental company in the same category and we will refund the difference - which we did only to be stuck with the additional cost of renting a car last minute in peak season - exactly 1500€ extra One would assume it’s legit being owned by Expedia - but it sure as .... isn’t. Thank you CarRentals.com - luckily it doesn’t end here.

The app doesn’t pull up your confirmation so when you get to the car rental counter , it’s like you never make a reservation. Do not use!

Got to the point of app asking for credit card number, and I can’t paste number from my password manager or even enter the number manually in that field. Dude!

I am not someone who frequently writes reviews about websites but the service I received from this website is pathetic. The customer service was worst. I tried to find a car rental place on Tampa international airport and they show a place that like half hour away from the airport. It said book to lock in rate for cheap. My flight was delayed due to storms to Tampa and they wouldn’t refund me the money or give me an alternative since they wouldn’t switch the pick up spot to the airport instead. I landed in Tampa after the car rental place that was half hour away from Tampa airport closed and I left the airport taking an Uber. Upon calling the customer service they said they need pics that the flight was cancelled so they can see if their so called conditions let them issue a refund since the flight was canceled. I got an email after submitting proof of flight status that they wouldn’t refund me anything since the car rental place was away from the airport and for some reason they thought my travel dates didn’t Match. I booked another rental with them hoping that I’d get the refund for the old one and booked it under my wife’s name at fox car rentals via carrentals.com this time at Tampa airport using my credit card since they don’t take debit cards and my wife doesn’t have a credit card. Me and my wife were traveling together and upon getting to Tampa airport fox rental at Tampa wouldn’t give me the car for the second reservation either since carrental.com wouldn’t accept a husband paying for his wife’s car rental service while they were vacationing together and at the same time. I left the airport again paying $173 without a car again. I still haven’t received any refund for my rental which was $118 the first time and $176 the second time. This is unacceptable and I do not recommend this website. !!DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! THIS WEBSITE IS SCAM I urge you folks to book through Travelocity or Expedia. I’ve booked cars before and never had a problems when I used my card and had my wife drive on it it and vice versa since we always travelled together. They provide you with solutions not leave you hanging in an unknown destination and ruining your vacation and travel plans. Do not rent a car through carrentals.com It’s A SCAM.

I’ve used this app to rent cars all over the world and I’ve never had a problem. You can reserve a car without putting any money down, and change your details whenever you want. They always have crazy low rates, and I’ve never had an issue when picking up a car after reserving it on this app.
