Perfect until....

First quarter worked perfectly for all 3 classes. This quarter perfect until the iPad version now locks me out of the home section for one of my classes. This section includes important student resources which I have to now access through a laptop/desktop. This means the instructor has this section open so it’s the iOS app that’s blocking it.

I don’t get notifications. I have canvas downloaded on my iPhone 6s Plus but I don’t get notified when a teacher posts something or grades an assignment. I have allowed canvas to send me notifications but I don’t receive them. And I know canvas notifies you when an assignment has been graded because I get notifications on my iPod. I like the canvas app. It’s easy and I find it convenient to use. But I’ve missed some assignment deadlines because I don’t get notifications when a prof. Posts something please fix this problem and I’ll change my ratings
Canvas is a lifesaver

I love canvas to pieces. It helps me communicate with professors all in one place, look at upcoming due dates, look at my course syllabus, know how much a grade with affect my overall percentage. It’s just an over amazing app. Only flaw for me Is I can’t see my classes until the day the semester starts and that would help me to read through all the syllabi before the semester started so I would get a better understanding of not only the course but who the professor is. Other than that it’s a beast of an app.
Notification doesn’t work as well

Thanks for your efforts to make the app a little bit better every time. There are 3 issues I want to discuss. 1. When I received the notification on the lock screen, I clicked on it. It just opened the app, not the content I wanted to see, either an email or an announcement. 2. Discussion link takes forever to load. I wonder if it’s because of the big data (I doubt it). 3. I wish I could change the color of the course banners, not just default colors. Thanks for listening.
No sound, no saved progress

Instructional content links which contains audio doesn't play the audio (YouTube, C3, etc). Quizes which can be resumed normally save your progress in full web browser so your work isn't lost but the Student app does not save any work performed making it a waste of time to use.

Really liked this app in the beginning but it’s starting to fail. Every time I try to open an assignment I have turned in to view comments the app crashes and kicked me out. CANNOT READ ANYTHING! And now the canvas on the computer isn’t working so what am I supposed to do

Ever sense i updated my phone of IOS 11 the app won’t even open anymore and crashes. Please fix. Before it was a GREAT APP!! Loved it.

App is great as I used it to view the daily assignments for the classes under the calendar section. However, the last update or so, the details on the class assignments no longer appear. It only shows that an assignment is posted for a certain class but I have to log on to the Canvas website to see the details.
How does this work?
