but it does what I need it to do. Wish it had a running tally like an old school desktop style. Maybe it has the equivalent of one but I just don't see it. Still, I use it a lot.

Update to my 2015 review: Still giving it 5 stars because there are so many good features and the annoyances are relatively minor. I keep this app on my phone's home screen so I can get to it easily. Niggles: I find the real-time calculations distracting and haven't seen a way to turn that off; I prefer to wait until I'm done to see final results. When compared to (physical) calculators I've used over the years (I'm old enough to remember when a 4-function handheld was a big deal), I stumble over the square-root and some other operation keys. Old-school algebraic calculators had you enter the argument first, then press the operation key but this app requires you to press (e.g.) square root first. Habits of 40+ years are tough to break, and IMO this algebraic implementation is a little too strict, esp. when working on-the-fly – with little or nothing written out beforehand. An option (or separate mode) to alter this behavior would be great. Really minor: Old-school calculators labeled the E key as EE (Enter Exponent), and I often fail to recognize the key when I need it; an E/EE label option would be nice. From my previous review: Really like the parentheses in the basic mode – a small detail but very useful. Also like that it can support the scientific mode with the portrait display – saves me from having to unlock rotation to go to landscape, which I really hate about the built-in calculator app. (Remainder of previous review deleted.)

8/12/2018 - The calculator widget is great. One more reason this app WILL ALWAYS stay on my iPhone. The only calculator I use. 8/7/2018 - The updates, ease of use, and support are only a few reasons I still have it on my iPhone. Well worth the upgrade to the pro edition. 10/14/2017 - Still the ONLY calculator and converter I use. I use this A LOT when grocery shopping. I love the % button. 3/9/17 - Great job guys. Some of the best money I've ever spent in the App Store. One feature I'd like to see added is a "floating calculator" feature - it minimizes with a touch and stays on any screen. 2/3/2017 - This calculator app and their converter app should be standard on all iPhones and iPads PERIOD. I don't need any other calculator and converter. This is the best calculator I have used on my IPhone 7 Plus and IPad Pro 12.9

My best calculator. Now better than ever. I'd wish a tax calculator included. Then I will not need any other one. I’m glad you’re updating it regularly, it tells about your concern to provide an excellent app. I keep missing the tax button, which is something I use every day.

Paid to have ads removed, but have to go to App Store and click on the app to remove ads EVERY time I use the calculator :(

Having E at lower left corner is highly UNintuitive. I would prefer L>R there of 0, decimal, E. As is, it often causes me to make an error.

This is such a vastly superior calculator. Lots of small but great features that make it so. I love that you can easily turn sideways to quickly see the "tape" results of previous calculations. See description for more. Still my fav Calc!
