Good but

Good calculator app overall. Easy to change to simple layout or more detailed layout. Looks good. Run smooth.. Really the only thing I dont like is the in-app purchase. I do not like in-app purchases and try to avoid them...I would rather pay for it up front, for one thing that makes it easier to re-install later if needed. I would like to unlock the widget but it is an in-app purchase so I am looking for a different paid calculator app that does not include in-app purchases.

Versitle calculator that performs exactly as advertised.

I’ve used it for months. It’s always performed exactly as it should. It’s never crashed. I bought the widget and use it frequently too. I consider the price reasonable. Transitioning from the widget to the full app is easy, just one tap. I also bought the multiple history tapes add-on. It’s price too is reasonable for what it provides. I’ve tried many other calculator apps. I even maintain a couple of them on my iPad Pro, but seldom use any of them. I give this one 5 stars because of its versatility (three apps in one), utility, and reliability.

Still lov’n it

Looking back and using input from previous calculations is awesome.

Great calculator

Worth getting pro to have a good calculator here. Be sure to turn off the sound within settings and you’re golden!

After about 3 years, it's still my go to calculator

Calc HD Pro is super easy and intuitive to use. I never realized how useful having a history of my calculations readily available would be. Now I don't want to be without it. Thx and keep up the good work!

Beyond my expectations

Sineofthetimes

Large, bright keys with more than enough functions to tackle any Calculation for the common user.

Update³︎ I like this app so much I felt compelled to revisit my previous reviews. Very pleased with the EE option for exponent entry (E key). Probably an easy change, but most developers wouldn’t bother. Continue to be amazed this app can fit a full scientific calculator into a portrait layout on a smaller screen (iPhone 6s). Other calculators require rotating to landscape mode but I keep the rotation lock on so that the display isn’t constantly flipping back and forth. And it looks like a traditional sci-calc (in the vein of the original 1970s HP and TI handhelds). Keep up the good work! 2018: Update to my 2015 review: Still giving it 5 stars because there are so many good features and the annoyances are relatively minor. I keep this app on my phone's home screen so I can get to it easily. Niggles: I find the real-time calculations distracting and haven't seen a way to turn that off; I prefer to wait until I'm done to see final results. When compared to (physical) calculators I've used over the years (I'm old enough to remember when a 4-function handheld was a big deal), I stumble over the square-root and some other operation keys. Old-school algebraic calculators had you enter the argument first, then press the operation key but this app requires you to press (e.g.) square root first. Habits of 40+ years are tough to break, and IMO this algebraic implementation is a little too strict, esp. when working on-the-fly – with little or nothing written out beforehand. An option (or separate mode) to alter this behavior would be great. Really minor: Old-school calculators labeled the E key as EE (Enter Exponent), and I often fail to recognize the key when I need it; an E/EE label option would be nice. From my previous review: Really like the parentheses in the basic mode – a small detail but very useful. Also like that it can support the scientific mode with the portrait display – saves me from having to unlock rotation to go to landscape, which I really hate about the built-in calculator app. (Remainder of previous review deleted.)

Problems.

I just spent $11.99 for this app and when I tried to use, It pops up with more ads to pay more money for more features. Sorry, but I thought when I updated to the latest version from the free version, I was getting all the bells and whistles. I denied the additional features as I am very happy with what I received but would give 5 stars, If I had received everything. It is an app with wonderful features and is intuitive. Most people probably don’t use or even need the additional features. I noticed on the right side of the dollar amount to go Pro from the free version that additional charges (Dimmed) were available. I went down to the bottom and it said “additional charges= yes”. I clicked on it to see what they were, to go no where. Therefore, I assumed they were included in the $11.99 price. I would buy again but be very careful with what I receive. Anyway, I plan on deleting about 10 other Calculator Apps since this has nearly everything I need in one App.
