I’ve had this app a long time. I must have bought it three times on different phones. I use it everyday. It’s a high quality app.

Cadenza is the tuning/metronome/drone app that I use in my practice as a professional cellist and the one I recommend to all of my students. I think it works extremely well and is very user friendly.

The app works well, especially as a tuner. I also like how the metronome offers a wide variety of time signature options. All around great app!

Works great, nice to not have annoying ads for the occasional tuning. Has trouble catching the pitch of the low E on my guitar, but not an uncommon issue for tuners like this. All in all, solid!

All saved metronomes are gone! And they didn’t even mention that in the release notes!!!

Cadenza used to be absolutely hands down the best tuner, pitch pipe, and metronome combo you could find. I’m not sure who or what inspired this radical minimalist overhaul of the app, but the pitch pipe is completely gone, and the metronome and tuner are so ridiculously remedial that it’s honestly more helpful to use a piece of bread. I’m not sure why the transposition has to be labeled in semitones- it was totally fine how it was. I know this isn’t going to make the app change back. I’ll be deleting this and changing to Tonal Energy even though I wish I hadn’t updated this app because I was so happy with it for so long. I hope someone can find merit in these big changes to the app and that they can use what few features are left. Truly sad to see this app go.

I used the old cadenza app for years and found it extremely useful. I am an amateur cellist and used it constantly when practicing. Now I can hardly read it and it seems less responsive to pitches. It seems to lag behind. You can’t be squinting at tiny images in black and white that are not easy to interpret while trying to work at practicing. Give me back the old app! I totally regret doing the update.

This seems like a generally well-designed app, but I’m not too satisfied with the level of support. The user is left on his own to figure out some things (Example: In the tuning section what does toggling the items between black and red do? What does the graph bar symbol at bottom do?). I contacted the developer within the app weeks ago asking some questions, but never got a response.

Not a lot to say, this simple app does everything a tuner should do. I’d like to have some more odd time signatures (6/4, 7/4, 11/8) but other than, a great app.
