“It was the best I found. Is useful for basic historical tuning with A=414/30.” by Bach_lover

“I’ve probably downloaded over a dozen different tuner and metronome applications but this is the best tuner I’ve found. I recommend it to all my students to help them tune at home and for the basic metronome. I’ve been using this for at least a year and I’ve found it to be most accurate tuner, and the most intuitive for my younger learners. The metronome gives you plenty of control and different sounds, nothing to complain about there either.” by string teacher VivaViolas

“The app was great before and it just got better. The developer implemented several request from its users in its update.” by Museike

“I am a music student in high school and was suggested to get a tuner app. When I first found this app six months ago, I thought it was a simple and easy to use app that came with a metronome. With the update, it got even better. The pitch pipe, new signature, and easy iOS 7 interface in portrait and landscape views makes it the best app on the market for musicians. Keep it up!” by Jpwizard6329

Where’s my wheel pitch pipe?
cellafella

I liked the old version with the great sounding wheel pitch pipe that I could set to “Oboe” and do an old-fashioned tuning of my cello by ear. I want the option to NOT use my iPad’s microphone. There are some nice new options on this version, but the interface is a mess and good features seem to have been dropped (like wheel pitch pipe). Please fix layout and restore the missing features!

Best tuner app out there
amick332

I tried a lot of other tuner apps before I found this one. Cadenza is by far my favorite!

Used to be a great all-in-one tool
RealSka

Who’s bright idea was it to get rid of the multi-meter metronome settings? This app was super helpful to learn songs that switched between multiple meters. It was a rock solid metronome app. Now it’s completely stripped of that feature. Why?!

Update issue- giving 2 stars so it’ll get fixed
ericksen s

I love Cadenza. If I’m being honest, my real rating is probably closer to 3.8 stars. But there’s a horrible problem with the metronome subdivisions. As an experienced drummer this was easy to pick up on: there is a lag in the eighth note click, and the sixteenth note click (depending on which you choose), right after beat 1. I’m still going to use the app, but this problem is going to drive me nuts, so I’m going to practice with just the quarter note clicks. The tuning feature is amazing, and other than this problem I love the metronome. I love the new layout too, I just have never practiced with a lagged click before and I don’t think it’s a good idea to start. I hope this gets fixed soon! Even if it isn’t, I’ll keep the app on my iPhone, but no one likes limited options these days.

UI change is Awful
rexpup

It takes twice as long to change anything on the metronome, and a lot of the features are missing. I need to find a new app. Why do UI people think I want to tap twice for something that used to take one tap?

Uhhhh....

I adore this app...I was simply wondering why it is crashing with iOS 13.0?!?!! I was at rehearsal when this happened ??? Please come back!!!!!

Crashes on iOS13
derikbru

This was a great app and we got our violin instructors to recommend it for the St. Joseph Music School. Now it crashes when you try to launch it and parents are reporting how frustrating this makes practice at home. The big worry now is the developers of the app are no longer interested in it and will never fix it.

Immediately crashes
frenchblue

I’ve used this app for years with rare problems. It crashes immediately when you open it on the new iOS

Crash issues

Ever since the new update 13.0 on my XS Max, the app would shut down. Now with the new update 13.1 the tuner gives a wrong frequency. I did everything to readjust and still the wrong frequency.
