This is a great app, I have it on all our family devices, worth every penny. The app needs a little work before iOS 14 rolls out in a couple months. I’m testing the latest iOS 14 Beta on an iPhone 11 Pro and iPadOS 14 Beta on an iPad (2018 6th gen), if “Reminders” is added to the list of calendars in settings, the app will crash as soon as you leave settings. It will continue to crash when opened until the app is reinstalled without connecting to “Reminders”. This works fine under iOS 13.6.1 on all of my other iPhones and iPads.

Not bad...still needs work

I really wanna like the app but there’s not customizable repeat and you can’t color code individual events and support is non existent. THATS a big no no, don’t create something then don’t respond to your customers requests???very disappointing, this app has great potential.

Great month view

Needs new widget for ios 14

Best calendar app across iOS and Mac OS

Annabelle4407

I tried 4 or 5 calendar apps before I settled on Busy Cal. I started with the Mac OS app and happily added the apps on my iPhone and iPad. The thing that sold me on Busy Cal was color-coding my calendar using tags. I have several calendar sources (personal calendar, CalDAV subscription for school events, holidays, birthdays, etc.) and tags allow me to use a unified color-coding system across them. Other things I love: quick-add feature for events, integration of reminders into my calendar, and default settings for new events (length, default reminders, etc.) Two things I’d love to see the devs add in the future are a widget so I can see what’s coming up on my schedule and an easier way to tag events in a subscribed calendar on iPad OS.

Missing a few key features for me

Jeseaca

So close to perfect, but I’m back to CalenGoo for now. I like the UI so much more here so I’ll keep checking back! I need to be able to make a local edit to the title of an event I was invited to and to be able to view my iOS reminders within the calendar, I know there have been past limitations with the iOS 13 update, but hopefully since other calendar apps now have the feature again it’s possible here too. ?

Great app

I really like this app. It is very efficient and pleasing to the eye. There are two things missing that I would really like to see: the ability to print the monthly, weekly, or daily calendars. And the ability to make custom repeating events. The website says this is possible, but I don’t see how to do it.

Replaced Fantastical

chaimk

I’d been using Fantastical on iOS for years but never loved its handling of reminders or some of its other quirks (nor its recent pricing model). Decided to take the plunge with BusyCal and haven’t looked back. I find it easier and faster to use, and it handles reminders better than Fantastical (and *way* better than the Reminders app which remains IMO terrible). Highly recommend!

Prefer iOS ver to iPadOS

I won’t take much time explaining why BusyCal on the iPhone is best, but I won’t even touch the built-in calendar there anymore. However, on the iPad, I find it very frustrating to add new appointments, change appointments, and so on. Honestly, I don’t see why this doesn’t function the same as Apple’s Calendar app. I can’t double tap or long press to create a new appointment on a day. So, even though I want to create an appointment on, say, Saturday, I have to tap on the + in the upper right corner and start from square one, always defaulting to an all day event, which means there are many more steps to creating an event that in the Apple Calendar app. Changing appointments requires more steps. I want to be able to simply drag something around on the calendar, but instead I have to edit the appointment and go the Time tab. It’s so unnecessarily clunky, particularly in this day and age. Going back to the stock app. Buyer’s remorse.

Excellent Feature Rich calendar and reminders app

Big RickA

Love how this app integrates calendar and reminders. Great look and feel. Am hoping for the ability to see a preview of my calendar when invited to an event so I can see if I am free/busy, and also for an iOS widget to make this a killer 5 star app

Excellent calendar all

Love it. Couldn’t live without it.
