The best calendar on iOS. Hands down

Fantastical went subscription Week cal went subscription. BusyCal is the best and updated so frequently. I applaud the authors for keeping a non subscription model. 5 stars

Capable, attractive, adaptable and powerful

I’ve found this to be an excellent choice for managing my calendars and todo’s. It offers many ways to manage these and is customizable. It has been an excellent replacement for my recently deleted app that changed to a subscription model. So glad I made the move on all my devices. I can’t also say enough positive comments about the excellent support. Outstanding and prompt and able to resolve issues quickly. I have only have two requests I hope will be added soon to make it perfect. First, it needs a companion Apple Watch app. For me this is essential as I often use my watch in place of my phone. On the watch app I hope a month view is included as well. The second is I would like to see a view on the phone that is similar to the view of the menu bar applet used on the Mac. This offers a small monthly calendar with a list of events or todo’s under it. This is a quick and efficient way to scroll through your day or ahead. A long press on a date would allow you to enter a new event.

Reminders Gone

I used this calendar app for everything. Now my reminders are gone once I updated them. I have to use another calendar app now and am not happy about it. App was updated so reminders can now sync. Thanks you!

Improvement over stock

Very good app and it is updated frequently. I very much appreciate that the developer has resisted the subscription band wagon, unlike, shall I say, a less fantastic competitor.

Goodbye Fantastical, Hello BusyCal

Mole555

I was a Fantastical user for many years. Now that they’ve gone to a subscription model, it’s no longer worth it, especially after already paying a high price for app the first time. BusyCal has all the feature I need, and adds a few more that I wasn’t expecting such as List View and Weather Info embedded into each day. Between the desktop app and iOS app, BusyCal is a welcome replacement for Fantastical users. Thanks!

Great app for iOS and MacOS!

After using Fantastical 2 for years on my MacBook Pro, I switched to BusyCal. What’s the reason, they moved to a subscription model. I feel betrayed by that company. Additionally, I’ve used WeekCal on my iPhone for 7 years. It had also gone to a subscription model. I did some searching for months and BusyCal has won me over. BusyCal does everything you need it to including reminders built into both platforms. If BusyCal keeps the same business model, I’ll use it indefinitely. If they decide to go to a subscription model, I’ll uninstall on both my Mac and iPhone and go to the stock Apple calendar apps. I’m happy so far and would recommend to anyone.

Great app

Love the app but hate the icon! Why can’t it be like the Mac icon? (Same as apple calendar but blue) that would be a lot more functional on the iPhone to let you know what date is.

Almost Wonderful …

I truly wish you had some keyboard shortcuts by this time. I can’t believe this in not implemented yet.

Great replacement calendar app!

I don’t like the way the current stock calendar app shows information in month view (it used to do better but at some point was redesigned to be more minimalist). So I replaced it with a 3rd party calendar app that was great for several years until that company switched to an overpriced subscription model that also required you to set up an account with them. That sent me looking for yet another replacement...which eventually led me to BusyCal. This app is great! Easy to use, shows plenty of information on the screen in any given view, and does not require any special logins or subscriptions! Just what I wanted! One thing I’d suggest...get better at App Store optimization. I found this app by reading calendar app reviews on some other websites. This app does not appear if I just search the store for “calendar” (or if it does, it’s so far down in the list as to be useless).

Pretty good so far!
