My six year old loved checking out some of the new features

Harley D Sund

I know I have mentioned this before, but we have a long drive to town (about 30 minutes) so these apps definitely came in handy! My six year old loved checking out some of the new features. He was easily able to trace his letters and the extra practice is always welcome since we are working on hand writing right now. As usual, Kids Academy apps are a great way to get extra learning in!

Another Fun & Educational App from Kids Academy!

This game from Kids Academy is my Daughters favorite! Your child gets to pick what shape he or she wants to and traces it with the help of the fireflies (lightening bugs) ;) and you collect them into a jar. It's really neat and teaches your children their shapes while having a fun time as well. It's very bright and colorful as well.

Help your little one Grow

(((This app is perfect for any toddler or young child! The Graphics and illustrations are absolutely Amazing! My daughter (6) and I'll admit myself as well enjoy watching the short illustrations. It really keeps your child involved and alert. There are multiple types of activities your child can choose from. Recolonization, Writing, Reading and solving small mathematical problems and so much more. My daughter and I love this "Game" and I'm sure yours will as well.))

Shapes and Numbers

My son loves this app that I installed in my iPad. The minute he sees what it can do and gives him the fun and learning, he always plays it. The tracing of different shapes as well as earning bugs when you did a great job is amazing. I like how it praises every time someone work on the figures. Very attractive scenes, simple ways to understand kids and easy for them to follow instructions. It helps them with their shapes and tracing tool.

Bugs - What more could a boy want!

The Stauffer Home

My 6m old loves my technology devices. This app was amazing and he loved seeing the bugs! What boy wouldn't?! I think he thoroughly enjoyed the app. I know that the 2-3 years olds will also enjoy having this app when I watch them on Sunday and/or Wednesday nights. I suggest that people get this app for their children. It is much better than a video game type app. Good luck & Happy Learning! -Mama Stauffer, The Stauffer Home

Great App for Preschoolers

Another Kids Academy App we checked out this week, and probably Oliver's favorite right now, is the Bugs, Shapes and Robots Face Paint for Toddlers! Oh my word is this super fun, especially for kiddos that LOVE Bugs and Robots! The animation and sounds are what seem to really grab the twins attention, and they really like that the game responds to them when they do a good job.

Great App!

This app is geared to teaching shapes by tracing them. It again allows the child to collect fireflies as they trace. My daughter loves that part. She has learned a few shapes too. It is updated and runs smoother and my daughter is able to trace easier now. Great app for young kids.

Lots of shape fun

CarrieSSH

My child is on his way to first grade, so this app is a bit on the younger side for him. Still, tracing the shapes helps him with his fine motor skills--something that's definitely needed as your child starts school and begins to write with a pencil! Bugs and robots are also always a fave with boys!

Shapes are So much Fun!

Trace the Shapes and collect Fireflies! What can be more FUN for a little one! Screen is bigger on iPad so may make it easier to trace, but my daughter figured it out on iPhone too! As she learned the name of the shapes and numbers, she could also trace around them - and then as a bonus, the fireflies fly out of the jar and say something to you! This was super cute!

Love, love, love, love, love!

Love, love, love, love, love! Besides loving this app, I love that Kids Academy is offering it free for a limited time! This means you get all the wonderful features that Kids Academy is so good at - graphics, sounds, colors, seamless fun - except you don't only get a couple of activities - you get the whole thing! In this game, your child has a choice of 10 shapes to start with. Beyond the 10 basic shapes, they will also have the opportunity to trace robots that are made up of the different shapes. This is great for building fine motor skills and learning shape names - even the more obscure ones! They will trace the shapes, all the while collecting my favorite adorable, colorful fireflies into a jar. The jar has a little label that lets you know how many you have and you can continue to watch the total increase so you're getting some addition and number recognition in this too! My daughter was thrilled with this little game. She had fun, learned new things, and loved the robots! This app is a great addition to the Kids Academy collection!
