Won't save new recipes either

Ceaver

After losing all of my recipes with the latest update, I created a new one just last weekend, and now it shows up with all ???s and null values as well. Which essentially means even for new users, it doesn't work anymore. It seems to be completely useless right now.

All my recipes are corrupt

I used to love this app but all my recipes are now corrupt. They all are blank or "null" in all their fields now. Also happens to new recipes. Add a fermentable to a new recipe and it shows up as "null". Very frustrating.

Used to be great

I used brew pal for several years. After you get used to it's quirks, it was very functional. Sadly, a recent update trashed all of my recipes, and I've emailed the developer twice with no response. Unfortunately a program is only as good as its support, and I'm migrating to other software.

All that I brew with

CriticsCritic

I've used Brew Pal for over a year, and now it's all that I brew with. I've used many other brew computers, but for the money, this is the best deal with the best performance. And, I can use it anywhere! The "Brew Now!" function is perfect no matter how many boil hop additions, adjunct additions, or dry hop additions you have. The fact that Brew Pal follows and times your beer from mash to bottling is the best part. New ingredients are added all the time, and the predictions are very accurate... once you get it tuned to your brew house. I use the style guide to tweak my recipes to fit styles perfectly, no matter how adventurous my recipe is. If you create your own recipes, you will not regret this app. If you brew from kits or print recipes this app will keep you perfectly on track. I've read many of the other reviews, and I've never had any of the issues people are complaining about. I've found that 99% of bad reviews in the App Store are because of user error or poor phone maintenance (you can't run your apps properly with 98%+ of your memory full, people). Gotta go - the Brew Pal alarm just told me I have a hop addition.

Years of saved recipes--VANISHED!!

JMMRAD

I have enjoyed using Brewpal to develop, monitor, and save all my beer recipes. I decided to use their iCloud sync feature so I could have my recipes portable to share with Homebrew club members. I turned on the sync feature and all my recipes disappeared!! I went back to the original device and names of brews were there but the ingredients had been wiped away. Now even the names are gone and all my saved work is lost. I emailed support weeks ago, no response!! I'm moving to an alternative and secure app.

Used to be great

Brewman05

I have used this for years and have (had) over twenty (some award winning) recipes. Recently though, everything disappeared and after no response from the developer, I had to switch to Beer Smith. I would still like to get my old recipes back but it looks grim.

No more app

Alfonzo-the-great

The idea of the app is great. The functionality and overall reliability of the app has gone downhill time after time. Recipes keep disappearing and the timers are not the best. I have uninstalled the app and have no plans on using the app anytime soon. Not worth the $1.99 anymore.

Best brew app ever

I've looked and use many brew apps. This is the only one that I keep coming back too. It makes my life easy with the timers and gravity calculator and refractomitor converter. Just all around great app.

All of my recipes went Bye Bye...

Used to be my go to App for brewing. Fairly easy to use. Recipes have disappeared before but always came back. Looks like they are gone for good now.

Lost ALL My Recipes

JayJ503

I've used this app for a year and a half and noticed as my recipe count increased it was slow to load. Once the new iOS 9 released I lost all of my recipes. I tried emailing support and never heard back. Good app for formulating but do yourself a favor and print out what you're brewing and take your notes there. ************* 11/24/15 Update: With an iOS update I enabled iCloud Drive which provided the iCloud Sync option and restored ALL of my recipes. I still print out and take notes of all recipes; just good practice and backup. The timer notifications are no longer working on the app which is a bit of a pain but you just have to pay closer attention to your boil schedule.
