- Grains and Extract
Enter your grain bill by selecting from predefined grains and quickly estimate your SRM (color), original and final gravities, as well as alcohol % given your efficiency and yeast attenuation.

Enter your hop additions by selecting from predefined hops and quickly estimate your IBU (bitterness). Supports dry hopping.

Enter flavorings and finings by selecting from a predefined list. Supports boil and fermenter additions.

I rely on brew pal, I love it. My timers don’t work anymore and I’ve contacted the developer with no reply. I try to create a new recipe as well but it quickly shuts down. Is this an active app anymore? I don’t want to get another app because my numbers are spot on with this one. Please help!

3/10/18 I have been a faithful user for several years. This has been my every brew day app. It still works but crashes after a little monkeying around with it. I’m running the latest iOS so I don’t want to lose everything I’ve worked for. Please update. Thanks UPDATE! I figured out a way to get all my recipes back, it included the use of iCloud. If you didn't have back up prior to losing information then I'm not sure if it will work. First I deleted the app, downloaded the app again and then uploaded from iCloud. I left the app open for about 5-10 minutes without messing around with it and all the info I lost came back. Would've been 5 stars if it weren't for the hassle. I've been using this app for several years adding all my recipes as I brew. It's been a great tool until the past few updates. All the names of my brews are there but none of the ingredients. Used to love this app, now it upsets me. Luckily I have most written on paper

I have the newest iOS and newest copy of the app and it crashes multiple times when trying to enter new recipes and does not save the recipe in progress.

Since the last OS update I can not enter or change recipes without that the App crashes and safes nothing. Please fix this and you get your 5 Stars

This is a great app, Everything you need to brew with and have found it to be pretty accurate around water volumns. The app lets you import and export recipes to and from various sources. In addtion to importing it also lets you create new recipes from scratch. As with any app, there are always improvements that could make it better (such as syncing to the cloud!) but overall a great app!
Just what I needed for my first all grain brew

Big fan of this app and the price is right. I had done a few extract brews and read a bunch about all grain brewing. There are a lot of calculations involved --nothing too hard but a lot to think about. This app makes the process as well as record keeping a lot simpler. The timed reminders during brewing are also a big help. Some quirks though. You can't delete ingredients once you add them. The best you can do is reduce the quantity to something like 0.01. Overall solid

I've been using brew pal for several years now, and love this app for managing my recipes! I export my recipes and send them to my brewing partners right from the app. One thing I need from the inventory is a way to request additions directly in the app, for instance I used Wyeast #1764 "PacMan" and there was no way to add it. ?
