From what I can tell this app is not much more than a novelty, which is very disappointing because it’s the only reason I upgraded to a Bluetooth device. The walls won’t properly scale, whether you enter measurements manually or via Bluetooth. Because of that I’m better off with a pencil and paper. I tried using it today on 2 very simple floor plans and it simply doesn’t work. To clarify, the device does input the measurements into the app, but without scaling it’s pointless. Browsing through others comments it seems this has been a problem for months yet they haven’t fixed it. Such a let down.
Needs lots of work

The app is not very intuitive or helpful. I need to be able to add elevations to my drawings or it’s just rather useless. We work with audio prediction software like ease and direct. We need to be able to plot theaters, houses of worship, and arenas. Maybe this will help you as you continue to develop your app.
Returning great GLM 50 C bc of app

Great hardware but worthless app is like awesome car with a flat tire. Using the app was such a disappointing and frustrating experience that I’m returning the GLM 50 C, WHICH I PREFER hands down to the other devices in the <$200 range. I would bet that I’m not the only person to make that decision. I would keep the device if there was any semblance that complaints about the app were being addressed, but, since major issues mentioned in reviews from over a year ago haven’t been resolved, I don’t guess they ever will. Maybe the most frustrating thing is that I spent several hours searching the web for any type of instruction guide for the app. The YouTube tutorials on Bosch’s channel are laughably worthless. My hours of web searches weren’t entirely for naught. I did stumble across other devices that I was completely unaware of.
Decent at best but has some issues

The tool it’s self (GLM 50 C) is great, but this app is honestly not great because of one thing. CRASHING ISSUES. Holy hell, if I take a measurement and don’t immediately exit the project, it’s probably going to crash and delete everything. Also the general UI and navigation is just not good. If you’re using this tool for basic square footage calculation or saving measurements, just use the notes app and the calculator... at least until the crashing issues are fixed.
Ok for Walls, not for Windows or Doors

The App does a fine job transferring room dimensions via Bluetooth. Lacks features specifying Opening Widths on Doors and/or Windows and their corresponding offset distances along the wall. A Detailed Floor Plan does not state Dimensions for Openings. Look forward to further development on this App.
Confusing and outdated

This app isn’t intuitive. I expected it to be full screen and support all screen sizes.

MeasureOn Does not draw floor plan accurately to scale after the first two or three measurements. The only apps I can find that will work with my GLM50 is Magicplan and RedStick CAD. I don’t like Magicplan because they want you to subscribe. With RedStick their basic app costs $10.00 and it’s easy to use no subscriptions. For the most part it works really well at producing scale drawings. At the moment it only supports GLM50 & GLM100 of the Bosch lasers. I have not figured out how to export DXF or DWG files but I have exported PDF files to my email. In order to turn the PDF into a DXF or DWG I have a file converter I found online. “Any PDF to DXF” or “Print2CAD” are good converters you can find online. I prefer Print2CAD which has many conversion feature but there are many other converter softwares out there.
Problems with app

I recently purchased a GL-50-CX and I love the tool. The app however has a lot of issues. When I change the measurement on the walls it doesn’t change the scale in the drawing. Also I’ve been doing basic experiments drawing individual walls and then connecting them together the outer walls are not changing dimension value based on the wall thickness. For example: I connect to 20 foot walls perpendicular to one another and connect them at their corners with a 6 inch thick wall. The inner dimensions are 20‘ x 20‘. That means the outside dimensions should be 20’6” x 20’6”. But it doesn’t. The outer wall still shows 20’x 20’ the same as the inner wall and the problems only get worse from there. There should be options when saving as a PDF of how old the vector lines are created or broken apart. Especially when creating a floor plan. Perhaps it should be exported as a .CDR (Corel draw), .AI (Adobe illustrator), .EPS (Encapsulated PostScript), etc...Can you please help me? I’ve already sent an email and awaiting your response.
