Photos too small

Nomad037

When exporting as pdf the photo only takes up a 1/5 of the page. There’s no option to resize the photo either.

No floorplans

Vyrfalcon

The FAQ says you can import floor plans, so that you don’t have to hand draw your whole facility in order to take measurements. But the icon to import doesn’t exist, and the email the app gives you to ask questions is invalid. I get the idea the company has given up and gone home.

Doesn’t accurately measure area

Sudoku who

I tried drawing a very simple building area with a 12-foot wall on the east side of the building and two 6-foot walls on the west end of the building. I received an error that there was a problem with the wall length. I tried manually changing the wall dimensions but was not successful in creating a basic sketch. Because of the wall dimension error, I could not calculate the building area. I then created a very basic floor plan with 10.00-foot by 10.00-foot measurements. The area calculation came out to 99.6 square feet. There is definitely a problem with the application. There is also no way to calculate curvilinear walls in the app (as far as I can figure out). The Bluetooth worked great with my iPhone, and the laser itself (GLM400C) works great, but my whole purpose of buying the laser was so I could measure buildings and calculate the building area. Accuracy is important. If Bosch could fix the application, then this would be a great product. I would rate the laser itself a 4.5, but the software application 1 or less. What good are the tools on the laser and the Bluetooth when you can’t get accurate results? Had I known about these issues, I would have bought a less-expensive brand (without Bluetooth). For this reason, I rate the whole product a 1.

Bug in app

Ericthegreat 129

Pretty good app butMany times I need to take a wider picture in landscape format because I’m not able to back up far enough to photograph, for example, a window. So if I go and use the iPhone camera, and import the photo in landscape I’m able to put the measurements on the photo but in landscape mode, the dynamic edges of the arrows don’t work. In portrait mode as you drag the arrow and it shows a magnified portion of the photo so you can get exactly to where you want to stop. In landscape mode this only works on the left or not on the right.

Can’t even share files over devices!

shellybelly4eva

Ugh! I only gave this app one star because ratings and review won’t let you post zero stars. This app is what...4 or 5 years old and the most common complaint about it next to scaling is the file sharing ability. Our company would find so much better use out of this app if our guys could open each other’s files so we can cross train and help each other out with our workload. Come on developers, you’ve heard the complaint over and over. DO BETTER!!!

100% Useless

Bigtallscott

I hoped that the other reviews were just folks not knowing how to use the app. Sadly it’s true, this app is not even worth the time to download. Useless. Don’t bother.

App is a waste of time

Alfonsouj

I’m better off using a piece of paper! Drawing snaps out of view while adjusting measurements can’t lock measurements when I want. Etc.... Complete time waster!

Really poor

kaksieu

As many have pointed out it does not resize the drawing to fit the actual measurements...it is incredibly misleading since you can end up with wall measurements that in no way bear any relationship with the drawing. This has been raised for over two years and nothing appears to have changed...clearly Bosch doesn’t care about this app.
