Meh

Update: Sadly my initial reaction was too hasty. This app has several blatant shortcomings. It doesn’t load the message if you swipe a notification, it just sits there saying loading until you go back out and into the email. It also randomly refuses to show images. It also takes 2-3x as long to load the messages themselves or the messages list compared to other clients. Original reaction: I have been looking for a mail client that is simply “good enough” for literally YEARS!!!! And when I finally find it, not only is it good enough, it’s &$@!ing PHENOMENAL ... AND FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolute insanity! Why doesn’t this come up when you search mail, why isn’t this at the absolute top of the app store?! Highly configurable. Works as expected. Not buggy. Sadly that is more than can be said for any other email app I’ve tried (at least 20). It is really a dream. Only thing I will say to add is support for opening links in Firefox. I would also love a dark icon for dark mode but that’s a total nitpick.

Stopped Working

The last update is still spinning. No access to app or emails, will have to delete the app.

Great but not so great, Blue Mail

I like Blue Mail. I really like its Archive folder. The reason for 2 stars is... sometimes when I open an email, there is nothing there just a blank screen. I try to go back to the email list and there is nothing there either. Then I can’t read anything and this should not be. I’m left with no email! I have to reboot to get BlueMail going again.

Horrible! For iOS anyway

I recently switched from Android to iPhone ehich was mistake number one. That said, after getting home with the phone, I downloaded whatever apps I had on my S9+ that were available on iOS also. I don’t check email all that often however I LOVED BlueMail for Android so I hoped it would perform basically the same. Wow, I was VERY wrong!! Not only is it VERY slow but it CONSTANTLY fails to sync & often times it opens to the add account screen as though I’ve never set it up before. While I don’t have to close or uninstall the app to back out if that, it’s SUPER annoying. (Just in case you don’t know...all you have to do is act like you’re adding an account you know is already added to the app & it will tell you that account is already added. After clicking that message away, there will be a “Back” option in the top left & you’ll get back to your account list & messages. I know this shouldn’t even be an issue however...) If I knew of an app LIKE BlueMail or K9 Mail (Android) on iOS, I’d uninstall. In the meantime.. Also.....another feature about the iOS version I dislike is I have not found ANY way to create a new folder within folder management or ANYWHERE ELSE. In the Android version, it was doable within “Folder Management”. Again, Android version was way better. Well, it was actually good to begin with.

Gotta love BlueMail

Love this email app. Just one thing: is there really no way to turn off the automatic loading of remote images??? I must be missing it. Looked all over the app, can’t find it.

Simple to use

Works when it feels likes it

At times the app does not update for 6-8 hrs. Pull down to get it to update and all mail disappears and it starts syncing. Stay like this for 30 minutes or more. I get push notifications of emails and when I check the mail is not there. Also I can delete, move mail or mark as spam and it comes right back. I have used this app for years on android and it’s great. On iOS it’s horrid.
