Enjoyed the ride!

Update 4/19/19: Took a ride to get lunch today and the app performed much better today. The scooters have been MIA all week up until today so I think that the team was working to fix the bugs in their new scooters and accompanying software. Much better experience overall! Still would like to see Apple Pay option implemented for added security and a referral program to get my friends to try them out since it is new to our City. Original Review: I enjoyed my blue duck scooter ride but the app is running slow. The “ride history” won’t load on my app right now but I did just complete my first ride a little while ago. I’m sure it will get better in future updates and it serves its purpose to pay for and unlock a scooter. I was also looking for a referral program to send to my friends since the scooters just arrived in my city today I believe but doesn’t seem to be one right now.

Have app, where are the scooters?

MarcBegeal

Had the app for over a week, no matter when I try to ride THERE ARE NO SCOOTERS ON MY MAP! What happened? Ready to delete and get a new scooter company in town.

App needs a lot of work

App registration seemed to work okay for the first part. It emails a verification code instead of texting, and doesn’t prompt for any stored info for email, name, or number. You have to type it all in. At least they default the keyboard to numbers when asking for a number field. Then for the card entry. Using the camera brings up a box to scan your card. Line it up and wait... wait... nothing. Try another card and it’s the same. I manually entered a card (which wasn’t verified or I would’ve gotten a push notification). Then it has a pop up asking me to scan my DL. I click okay and it shows me another pop up to enable location services, which I already had done. Mind you this is enabled by the Apple push already - this is the app reminding me to enable something it already prompted Apple to have me enable. Click okay again and it drops you to the map. Registration done! Or is it? Something with they’re extra location enabling is breaking their DL scanning. Check settings and there is no place to scan my DL. So I know when I first try to ride a scooter, at best I will spend another few minutes trying to complete a registration I was trying to do early, or at worst be unable to ride until Support gets all my account info. Plus after that they would try to verify my card and then catch if I’d made an entry error instead of now. Doesn’t really matter. Looked at the map and it shows 0 scooters downtown. Maybe they pulled out already? Maybe they haven’t been deployed for the day (7am)? This app needs to have the registration workflow reconsidered, then have the programmers make it work.
