Could Use Improvement

I'd like to start with what I like about the bellabeat app. 1) Water tracking. I notoriously don't drink enough water, and this has helped a lot in making sure that I at least get close to consuming enough. ;) 2) Step tracking. It seems very accurate and helps me make sure I keep moving when I'm tempted to be sedentary. 3) Period tracker. It's pretty. It's accurate. 4) Meditation - The meditations are awesome. Now for the dislike: 1) It's not even close to being able to measure stress. No matter what day it is (and I've had my bellabeat on for a month now), the beat always says I'm stress resistant. I have an anxiety disorder, so I'm often stressed even when I've slept, etc. Something will need to be adjusted to make this more accurate. 2) I'd like a period tracker that helps me to keep up with when I've had sex. For this reason, I'm still using Spot On because it's easier to look back on when I've been sexually active. 3) Sleep tracking. It's pretty accurate. Probably as accurate as a device like this can be. However, it is difficult to adjust sleep in the app without messing up the recorded data and often I need to readjust the time. So if recording in the app could be improved, that'd be nice. Overall, I love my bellabeat. I think anyone who doesn't love it has unrealistic expectations. That said, a few tweaks to the app could make it better. Cheers!

It *was* working, sort of

I love my Leaf, and for more most of the time I’ve had it, the app has worked fine. The one glaring exception is that it says it integrates with the Health App, but it has never written any of my data to it even though all “write” permissions are enabled. I have other apps that do, but not Leaf. I have also repeatedly requested that it integrate with MyFitnessPal, but still nothing. However, recently I had to restore my phone to factory settings and install a backup. Despite being logged into my Bellabeat account and syncing my Leaf almost everyday, I lost *all* of my cycle data. Thankfully, I have another app that I also log that data into separately, so I just re-entered it all into Leaf manually...but after a while it wouldn’t save any new manually entered cycle data. It shows this cycle has been over 300 days long! I’ve tried lots of procedures to fix it, including deleting past data, but it still won’t save new data. I’ve emailed Bellabeat and am awaiting a response.

Not what I expected

Ok so I gave this 3 stars bc I do think it’s a beautiful necklace and so I downloaded this app however it doesn’t keep track of my sleep to well like I go to bed at 7:30pm but it won’t let you adjust the time it has it set for 9 pm .. also lately the Bluetooth isn’t working on it .. frustrating most times .. if I had to do it again I wouldn’t buy the leaf nor download this app just saying

Perfect Fitness App for women except 2 things

Mama Agnew Bear

Beautiful fitness tracker and great app. The only 2 things missing if you're trying to lose weight there is no where to add food and drink to count calories. I’m also pregnant now and the app keeps switching back to period all of the sudden...please help

Disappointment..

Tracking a period by date is not very accurate.. adding bbt and graphs could improve the quality of the app and allow for more accurate predictions.. I was kind of hoping this would help aid in fertility.. and ovulation tracking as advertised “even irregular cycles” but it’s just a typical period app.. with the general idea 14 days after you ovulate you get your period.. this generalization is completely wrong. Lots of women ovulate late or early.. and have short or long follicular or lue phase.. and unless it actually measures your bbt/tempature during your sleep after x time automatically there is no way for it to even confirm ovulation. So I kinda feel like I was lied to on the purchase of this product with false advertisements.. “it learns” but it is based on your input.. but it still has the standard 80s belief a woman ovulates 14 days before her period no matter what..

Great app for intended purpose

I love the tracker itself, have used it for over a year (and only needed to replace the battery a few times). My only reason(s) for not giving the app that last star: 1) the hydration summary doesn't reflect what's been recorded for the day - it seems to be delayed or something and shows an earlier total, and 2) when adjusting for sleep, the time will be off because of the restricted selections for the minutes. Otherwise, this app is great for helping me track and keep my attention on my health and well-being!

Not working correctly

Cmitchel5

I had the leave for about 3 weeks. I love the design but have nothing but issues with it. First it would not track correctly. Had to delete add delete and add updating nothing worked. Finally got it to work again. Than for two day now even when I’m not moving or over night when I update it added 100 of thousands steps. I would love to take the credit but like I woke up and walked 114000 steps. What??!! Sit down and updated again added 3000 addition steps. This has been going on for 2 days now. What’s even worse when you contact support they take about 5 good days to get back to you. For now Fitbit is back on my arm.

Please fix glitches

I live my leaf. It’s beautiful, I love to wear it, and I like having an app that tracks my activity, water, and my period. I think it’s also more accurate at tracking my sleep than other apps. But the time on the water logging doesn’t always come out right and when I try to go to my history (the only way to edit) half the time it says I have no data, even when the day before it says I do. There is no rhyme or reason to this. Also, the meditation app will randomly stop playing or not sync with the leaf, and stop when the device screen turns off. It takes longer to get the app to work than it does to actually meditate! Of course this problem could be solved if it would just keep playing when the device screen is off. I like to meditate in a dark room and I hate having my bright iPod screen distracting me. If these problems weren’t so frustrating I would give this five stars.

Works Inconsistently - Leaf AND Spring

H2OAddictBends

I had a Leaf for a while after it first came out and it was unfortunately left on a pair of pants and put through the wash, leaving it unusable. I found that the data was inconsistent and the ability to update to the app was cumbersome. Yet, I loved the idea as well as the look and feel of the tracker itself, so I’ve been interested in other offerings from the company. Because I now have an Apple Watch, replacing the leaf seems unnecessary since a few $3 apps replace nearly all the functions of the leaf and seem not only more accurate, but more user friendly as well. I’m still a huge fan of women run and women-product focused companies, so I kept an eye out for other products I would be interested in. I’m an expat living in a country where water is not drinkable from the tap and OBSESSED with hydration, and currently not drinking enough water, so when I saw Spring, I had to have one. I ordered one on a recent trip back to the states. Since getting it, I’ve had a lot of issues with it. It nearly always syncs correctly but almost never actually downloads any data, so no matter how much I drink, I have to add it manually. I’ve tried all the suggested fixes including turning off my Apple Watch when I sync (annoying) due to it requiring absolutely no other Bluetooth connections being active, restarting WiFi, the phone, etc. It’s basically an $89 water-bottle with no function other than storing water, which is outrageous. Bellabeat makes beautiful products, but they simply do not function as advertised. I love Bellabeat and the message the company sends with its women-focused products, but after two faulty products, I’m honestly highly disappointed.

Add a Misc category

Serialmommy

I’d like that I can keep track of so many things but I’d love a misc category to chart whatever I might need to for my personal health. I have migraines daily. My doctor wants me to keep track of my sleep and cycle (why I bought the leaf in the first place) and activity and stress and water, which the leaf all tracks. She also wants me to keep track of my daily pain levels and my pain medication doses, what I take and how much of which medication for what kind of day. As the weather also plays a part in the migraine intensity, being able to note that would be great. Having it all in one place instead of needing to gather notes from 3 or 4 different places would really help streamline things for me. I would think adding some optional categories would be easy to do. I’d also like to add that it hasn’t synced with the my health info on my phone so keeping all the pain/med info there and having it connected doesn’t work. For some reason it just doesn’t sync well.
