Very good, could use some polishing

The app is pretty good but the UX is a little amateurish. The content is also pretty good, but particular lecturers could be much tighter and use more mnemonics in the more abstruse topics. Quite a few typos in the flash cards. The audio lectures are almost impossible to hear on the stock Apple headphones in crowded places like a train because they're so quiet; Barmax should really dial up the max volume. I love that it's completely on iOS though, so the whole course is always with me at all times. That and the real MBE questions make the other pain points worth it. If Barmax focuses on smoothing out the rough edges, this will be the premier product.

Barmax is amazing. I missed passing the bar last year by 3 points, but I felt uncertain the entire time I was prepping with Kaplan, all the way through. I was bombing the practice exams, but I am feeling so confident in these prep classes. I started out rough, but I have steadily increased my scores and confidence, and I still have a whole 40+ days until the bar. I strongly recommend Barmax for bar prep!

I've been prepping with Barmax for the July exam and with just 2 weeks to go I'm feeling more confident than ever! High quality product, very easy to use and can be used anywhere (bonus!). Great customer service, always there when I need them. I highly recommend.

Great Choice for the MPRE

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Thank you for creating this app FOR FREE. It was so refreshing to have an easy and accessible review course that did not costs me thousands of dollars and hours of my time. This is exactly what I needed to use to successfully pass the MPRE. The highlighting tool was a huge favorite of mine, but the flash cards really led me to success. I would love to see some review questions in a future version, but you've done a great job here.

I downloaded this app to study for the MPRE. The app won't allow me to register with email or Facebook. It instructs me to contact the app developers, but the app developer contact page is also not working. Basically this was a waste of time and I suggest staying away from this app.

I held off writing a review until bar results came back. I hadn't heard of Barmax before this past spring, so I decided to try the MPRE course and I ended up liking it. Once I got my mpre results back, I decided to dive in on the bar prep course. I am a results driven person, so I couldn't be happier with the product. MPRE: 117 UBE: 317 (170 MBE scaled) Thanks guys!

I decided to use BARMAX because it had been six years since I had graduated law school and I needed to study early on. Other programs do not enable as early, or as thorough prep for the bar exam. For MBE prep, BARMAX is excellent. However, I give the program four stars because I was not impressed with their essay grading (they took too long to get essays back and the feedback was hit and miss - i.e., one grader was very helpful, while another seemed to have put copied and pasted info into their recommendations for my essay). Overall, if you work full time or need to start early, you can't go wrong with BARMAX. It is a solid program and will render good results if you are willing to put in the work.

This app was fantastic. It was the only prep tool I used and it has everything you need to pass. I passed the NY bar in Feb 16 using the materials in this app. Comprehensive, easy to use, great lectures. If the sound is low - turn it up! Flash card section was a bit unnecessary in my opinion but then again I've never been a fan of those types of study aids. Six full weeks of study with this app and you can pass the exam.
