I was just served my first ad disguised as a post. I expected better from bacon reader. I’m disappointed. I will be switching to something else.

I’ve used BaconReader for almost 6 years now and during these past few months the app has really gone down the drain. I won’t even be clicking near an add and now they just open on my screen. The adds are also starting to be stylized like posts which is confusing. I’m about ready to look for an alternative if things do not start changing.
New ads Ruining a great app

I’ve using BaconReader for years now, and they have always had ads that would open every once in a while. After their recent update they added unskippable full page ads with sound that open constantly. Including banner ads that play sounds in the background that stops other audio playback like Spotify. Don’t bother downloading until they fix this. Update: they removed the original ads, but quickly replaced them with new video ads that open full screen on your phone randomly.
Full screen video ads have ruined this

This has been my app of choice since i started using reddit but now all these video ads that pop up while i try to use it is beyond annoying. i can’t believe that they’ve let their once great app fall so far just to get some more ad space. do yourself a favor and try anything else. just ridiculous

Been using this app since the early Android days and I just got served with full on ads in the middle of a GIF, like what in the hell. I can’t even seem to figure out to get back my pro status, that’s been long gone and let’s not forget the broken tables. I will be moving on for good.
Don’t bother installing this.

This app doesn’t save posts I’ve upvoted. I’ll upvote something, go through the front page again a few hours later and the posts I’ve previously upvoted don’t show as upvoted. The ads are intrusive. I’ll be reading a post and a random video ad will completely take over my screen. The app also randomly crashes. This app is the worst. I uninstalled it today and will never go back.

It won't let me purchase no ads. The in app purchase doesn't work, it just sends me to the home screen
Table issue makes text posts basically unreadable

I’ve been using bacon reader for years and loved it so I’m legit sad to have to switch. But it’s been about a month and text posts are impossible to read. HMU when it’s fixed but for now I’m going to a different app
Ads and other Problems

Much like all the other reviews this app now has full page ads. I also run into weird problems, I have to scroll through pages of emptiness to get to comments on a post. Some Reddit functions are limited. After years of using it I’m switching.
