Pure Garbage

Hu is a fraud

You know the dice are rigged when you can predict rolls in advance.

Hi

Olgitsa

Every time that computers checkers are still in mine area and I have won the game the computer give me 1 point. This is wrong. Why I can’t challenge the computer for a 4or 8 points game ?

Great Interface & Play, but Dice are a joke!

daveB.

Dice are so rigged in expert mode, it’s become laughable. Doesn’t matter how good you think you are, just expect to lose in Expert level. Dice are pretty much rigged in favor of AI. Game teaches you to play erratic. Most consistent way to win is to play the Bad Game. Best to utilize the Auto Finish feature as to get the slaughter over with faster.

AI Cheats

I’ve been playing a while now in Expert, as others have indicated, the AI seems to get favorable rolls. I.m moving on to a different app

Too many doubles and crashing

Biffmalibu

I know this is a random dive generator, but something is wrong, this game rolls way too many doubles compared to real life. This app has also been crashing during games, which is a bummer. I know it still ranks, but at certain times it crashes 2-3 times in a row.

Easily the best

FatherBusa

In my opinion, this is the best backgammon app on iOS. The UI is gorgeous, it can be configured endlessly, it shows more stats than you could ever possibly need, and it is a *very* strong program. On that last point: People complaining about the game being “fixed” need to get over themselves. On the hardest setting, this game is playing at international tournament strength. You can’t beat it in a match, because *you’re not that good*. If you *can* beat it regularly on that setting, then stop reading this review and go book a flight to Monaco. Seriously: What possible motive could the developer have for writing a rigged game? The guy is way into backgammon; he’s on various backgammon forums all the time. Do you seriously think that his goal is to write a game that just always wins, not because of the strong AI he’s labored over, but because it “looks ahead” at the dice? He’s trying to sell a game for serious players, and every time some idiot writes a review about the game being rigged, its rating goes down and serious players have less of a chance of finding it. Another thing that’s great about this app, is that it plays a very convincing game on the easier settings. This is harder to do than it sounds. Making an extremely strong program play a weaker game without just making random blunders takes a lot of skill, and this guy really nailed it. So give the developer—and frankly, the rest of us—a break, admit that you’re not as good as you think you are, and enjoy this meticulously designed program. It’s excellent.

Used to be very good...

But for the last year, app just closes randomly in order to force users to subscribe (join their VIP program). Blatant money grab. Time to move on.

Loaded dice

I don’t care with the developer says, if he is using a random number generator it certainly doesn’t behave that way. It is very frustrating to play with the game, where you rank up and play in the harder Or expert levels, instead of the Backgammon computer AI player getting better it’s just the dice rolls. That being said unfortunately this is still the best backgammon game on the market. The controls work well, and the game goes fast. Many of the other games are so enamored of the cartoon of dice rolling that they forget about the game.

Programmed in favor of computer (phone).

Programmed in favor of computer (phone). Enjoyable due to its speed. If you play with an open mind, that you will lose most of the time no matter what because of roll of the dice!
