5 Stars & 4 Tail Wags!

Nookinponub

I live by the beach and have 4 dogs. At high tide my beach is almost gone. This app allows me to plan walks on the fly. I give it 5 stars and 4 Tail Wags!

Best tide app in the store!

I'm an avid kayaker and spend time in rivers as well as the ocean. I've tried several other tide apps, both free and paid, but this one is hands down the best! Other apps offered maybe 3 to 4 tide points for my geographical location. Aye Tides has literally hundreds!!! Also, unlike some other apps, you can access the entire database without having to have a signal. It makes the app faster to load, and means it's functional even in out of the way places. Also many tide apps don't make this clear until you have downloaded them, but they only give you information on TODAY's tides!!! Aye Tides allows you to scroll weeks or months ahead and plan a trip. It sounds expensive, but if you are looking for a tide app that does it all, this is the ONE. :)

the tides app of your dreams (almost)

I'm a marine biologist working in California. I rely on this extensively for low tide work. Tide books are great, but it's really helpful to visualize the timing of the tides, with corrections, for each site. I use the developer's desktop version of this app (Mr Tides 3), which gets about the same review from me, for the same reasons. This app is the one you want. It's easily worth the ten bucks for its functionality and having offline data -- no Internet connection required and no waiting for slow data downloads. The ability to look up any date is really useful. It loses a star in this review because the graphics aren't as nicely finished as, say, TideGraph, and the user interface is a bit clunky. For example, date selection could use a mini month calendar rather than a scrolling display that doesn't include day of the week. Station selection could have an easily accessible map display rather than a scrolling selection (though I'm guessing that including maps would require an Internet connection -- I imagine that an offline version might be humongous).

Great app

Im an avid fisherman and I've been looking for a good app for tide info. So far, this app has worked fine with iPhone 4. No 3G required for all info was a must for me. All the data I need for fishing is here. I would give it 5 stars but need to use it more.

Great for tides, Tougher to see currents

cyclist4444

great little app for any tides needs, remember to turn sideways to get daily graph view, only wish it was also possible to get a graph of the currents as well. Perhaps in a future update. Still a great program

money well spent

Super intuitive interface. Relatively easy to find the pertinent data relatively quickly. However would be nice if there was a map interface as well. I would rename the app Tides and Currents Offline Worldwide to capture the broad-reaching utility of this app. I actually overlooked this app initially due to the name

Incredible app

Two weeks power boating in the Puget Sound area and our Ports and Passages never was opened. Everything you need in the palm of your hand. Love the graphs especially current. All secondary tide and current stations are there without any need to correct for time or height. A really great feature is the ability to find the station closest to you with the push of a button. I would give this app 10 stars if I could. So worth the money.

Best Tide App Period

I've downloaded many tide apps and this one blows all of them out of the water. Look no further. It has thousands of tide stations for the whole of the U.S.- including the ones I use. It can be used OFFLINE. It can show future (and past) dates. It shows the current tide height or the height at any other time of the day. In short, it has everything you would expect. Finally someone has replicated the famous Tide Tool for the Palm. That app was free but nonetheless this one is still well worth the cost.

Tide Ebb or Flood?

alexus309

I love this application and have been a long-time user of both Mr. Tides and MacENC. So when the 3G iPhone was released I couldn't wait for the release of iNavX and AyeTides. Good work Guys! However, I have one small suggestion for this program. At the opening page, It would be nice to see "at a glance" whether the current tide level is ebbing or flooding. This could be accomplished with simple colored arrows pointing up or down or in a variety of other ways. I know I can get this information from the landscape graphical view but that requires a seemingly unnecessary second step. Thanks again. You guys ROCK! (PS... Moon phases might be nice too...)
