“Auxy is designed to remove friction and make sure technology won’t get in the way of you being creative.” ...I opened Auxy for the first time in awhile today to discover I could no longer edit the sounds in half of my songs. Auxy has moved to a payed subscription model and basically screwed me out of the work I did last time I used it. I understand that companies need to make money for their work and I’m more than happy to support them. I would have gladly paid for new versions of Auxy if and when I needed them, but now they want me to pay $5 a month to access all the sounds and import samples. We all have millions of sounds. I don’t need sound packs and I don’t need to import samples. I loved this app as a great, minimalist sequencer on the go so I could put my ideas into Ableton later. I didn’t expect to suddenly be locked out of the mixing & filtering sections of half the sounds on all my projects. That’s really crappy of you guys. All that most musicians really want are tools that get out of their way so that they can create. Auxy was brilliant at that when it first came out, but paid subscriptions are the antithesis of this idea. I was a big fan. You blew it.

Purchase should include original sounds

I agree with most on here. Sounds should be able to be individually downloaded instead of a monthly. One time app purchase should include the original sounds at least.

The update ruined this app for me

I used to love this app, I would have given it 5/5, but after the update you have literally 2 sounds where there used to actually be a decent number of free ones. I understand they needed to change because it wasn’t making money but there is no incentive for me to subscribe, and especially not for people who just got the app for the first time to subscribe now, they’ll download it, see that it’s not actually free and the whole thing is a pay wall and uninstall. If anything I feel like you’ve just shot yourself in both feet by hurting already loyal supporters and not even leaving enough of a bare bones trial to make people want more. I can’t even access my old projects I had before the update that had the free sounds :(

5 Star App at Heart

Auxy is a 5 star app hands down, however, I have a few suggestions that I think would make the app even better (well, for me at least!) I would love to see a more simplified way to export projects from Auxy. Whenever I want to export a project, it feels like I have to go through a thousand different screens to get to the export page. In my opinion, if there was an export button next to the project settings button, that would make the exporting process much easier. Seeing if a project has ever been exported, and when, would be great, too! Another thing that I would absolutely love to see make it’s way to Auxy is Google Drive integration. I am not a fan of iCloud Drive so I have it disabled in the app. Instead, I export projects in audio format via AirDrop to my MacBook and save the project files to my Google Drive so I can easily get them back if I need to once the original project is deleted. If Auxy could automatically backup my projects to Drive, that would be a dream come true! I hope you take my thoughts on making Auxy better into consideration. Thank you!

I don’t enjoy the fact hat th I sound I always use I now have to pay for, I don’t like any of the other sounds and I would always use rain for the little songs I make, and I can’t do that anymore and it really bothers me :/

Love the sounds and music you could make. But you’re limited to only a few instruments. Not a neat idea to pay a monthly subscription for something that you’re not gonna use every single day.

I love this app and I use almost day but this morning it locked me out of the original Auxy instruments EVEN though I edited several songs that use them yesterday . And I’ve had this for a good two years or so.

I love this app! I use it to make lots of stuff that sounds amazing! But, I would love if you guys added the feature to change the time signature. That would make the app waaaay better!

Completely ruined

So now you guys have decided to update the app again, and now you have LOCKED the old sounds that your OG users had and made them unable to edit their old sounds. And you have removed all of the drums, and even removed more and more of the good drums from the trashy kits that you guys have created to use. This app used to be my favorite app to use on the road, and now it’s completely useless and the only way to get a half use out of it is to pay money. It’s sad because you’re so small that you probably won’t even generate enough revenue to keep your *paid membership* program successful and working. Couldn’t be more disappointed, and every review agrees that this app has been ruined.
