iPad use is essential in my job, pop up tutorial along with more visible tools would be useful. I do like the app.

I had to create an Autodesk account, then create a Duo Mobile account before finding out this is for a 7-day trial only. I won’t have time to try out this app in the next 7 days. Autodesk should say it’s 7-day only before making people jump through hoops. I resent having my time wasted.

Most of my clients are machining parts from dxf files. This app no longer supports the open dxf file format. I think this is absolutely silly.

The software is easy to use & seems to have everything I needed in the electrical apparatus industry,

App makes changes to your settings. You have no option to continue without accepting. Then you have to hunt down the switches in settings to cancel. Who knows what else gets modified.

Drawing a simple line is an exercise in frustration. Lines just get drawn at random angles even when you specify exact coordinates. One a line gets drawn wrong there’s no way to edit it. It just draws new lines in wrong directions. You can’t edit both the length and the angle at the same time.

There are too many shortcomings. Basic functions like a chamfer tool, for example. I would like to ditch the laptop and use my iPad in the field but until all the basic functionality is there, AutoCAD for iPad has limited usefulness as a creation tool.

The Autodesk team has done a wonderful job with transitioning the program to mobile. The mobile Autocad app is very efficient and offers pin point accuracy for your drawings. This is an awesome application! I am always excited to use it, even when my desk is available!
