App has bugs

App now spins and does not connect regularly. On an iPhone with current software the sign in screens do not work. The content is warmed over PR releases edited by “enthusiasts” who often make inaccurate statements or do a poor job of researching. Comments are typically subjective, except for manufacturer statements which are taken as fact. Manual transmissions are seen as news, which only leads me to believe the editors were reared on car and driver and have no idea that manuals are rarely purchased by anyone and have no performance advantage vs any type of modern automatic.

I used to use this app regularly. Tonight I opened this app and it was very very spammy. First it has a full screen commercial pop up that keep repeating itself. Then when I am trying to scroll through the articles the app keep jumping to the App Store to get me to pay for an ap I do not want. Spam spam and more spam. I deleted it immediately.
This app is going down hill.

I have been an autoblog reader since 2009, and it’s been a treat. Hands down my favorite place for automotive news. Considering I’m always on the go, I use my phone 99% of the time to try and catch up on my car news. This app is absolutely horrible. There is no intuitive design, ads constantly force you to watch ads, and then keep making you watch ads on repeat even after you’ve seen Outback Steakhouse’s commercial thrice. It even forces me to my browser halfway through reading an article. So I switch back. But the app opens my browser again. Trying to load some ad. Y’all obviously have enough funds to have a good app, but whoever is doing that job now needs to be canned. This app is absolute garbage. I no longer call myself an autoblog enthusiast anymore, ENTIRELY because you guys can’t run an app. The writing is great, the cars are great, even the fun things like the junkyard specials are wonderful. But the app makes the reading experience truly horrendous. Figure it out Autoblog!

I can’t seem to get more than ten seconds into an article without an ad video popping up or getting redirected out of the app and into the App Store. Makes reading impossible.

Ads continually take over the screen. I’ve had to delete the app and just use the web now. It’s literally useless. I can’t even finish a single sentence before an ad pops up and takes the entire screen. I’m only reading the green section. Maybe others work IDK.

The main issue I had with the previous version of this app were the horrible ads. They would randomly start opening website in Safari or apps in the App Store. Since this most recent update though, I have had any issues with ads and the app has been working very well.
