This app is terrible.

This app is terrible. The one thing you should expect from a broadcasting app is continuity. This app continually drops during live streaming.
App needs to be fixed

Every few days or weeks, the app won’t play when navigating to other screens or allowing the display to lock/sleep. The only fix is to uninstall and reinstall the app. Every time. It seems to happen when updates are pushed in the background. When reinstalling the app, you will lose all of your stations. Every time. It is very very annoying and not acceptable from a user standpoint.

I only listen to one station on this app on a regular basis. More than once, it goes to commercials (not the same ones you hear on the radio) and they start repeating themselves over and over again never getting back to the content. At which point I shut the app down. Renter the app and this time I just got a different set of commercials playing in a loop. Very strange. UPDATE Commercial problems have been solved so I’ve added a star. Someone actually contacted me about it. ?kudos to the developers. However, now chrome casting does not work. Works with all my other apps so it’s not my phone.

It won’t keep playing after a break ( phone call or text). This app is very frustrating

This app used to be great. I’d listen to my local AM news station while getting ready for work in the morning and never had a problem. It would stop playing if I opened another app with sound, like a website with embedded video, but other than that playback was continuous and reliable. But after COVID and moving to working from home, I didn’t need it; I’d watch the news on tv instead. For whatever reason, I tried to use it this morning for the first time in awhile and all of a sudden (to me anyway) it won’t play in the background if I’m using another app or if the phone is locked. What in the world possessed the developers to make this change? Now the app is completely useless. I’m not going to drain my battery keeping my phone awake to listen to news I can just as easily get somewhere else. Change it back. ETA: thanks for your response. While I’m still baffled as to why that functionality became optional, enabling background refresh did work.

Bad audio between show vs commercials. It will save something I searched once but won’t save something I search everyday. Subscription to a show hardly updates. Loads slow. Big pile of crap! Just Bad!!!

There’s an Iconic radio station named WWL in New Orleans which has been there for a century and everyone has grown up with and grown to depend on for their source of what’s going on in the New Orleans area and the world. But no longer. Ever since joining Audacy WWL has had so many technical issues that I hardly listen anymore. Yes, I said it and it keeps getting worse. What a shame that the people of New Orleans is slowly losing another key part of the city and its history.

Honestly the worst app on my phone. It works about 2/10 times i try to listen to the radio. the audacy app has the audacity to be this bad of an app.

This app is fine. My biggest complaint is that I often listen while I'm working and I occasionally need to pause to concentrate on what I'm doing. If it's paused more than s few seconds, the app just shuts down my program and I lose my place. After it happens more that once, it becomes easier just to listen to music on Spotify.
