More exhaustive than your in-game map; see your mission objectives in real-time, set waypoints, zoom in and out, and search for locations with the tip of your finger. It’s also a great way to involve someone else in your single player experience, your friend can be your quartermaster.

You can now interact with the main game 24/7, wherever you may be. Use the ships that you have captured to send on missions, secure routes and collect cargo and currency. The Atlantic Ocean is thriving with opportunities and you’ll need many ships to take full advantage. You can even help secure your Uplay friends’ routes and get rewarded.

For some reason, this app will not sync up with my PS4. It recognizes it but will not connect. I initially thought it was a problem with an update so I deleted the app and reinstalled it. The issues still exist. Have to trouble logging into Ubisoft but as for the connecting to the game it does not work. Had no trouble with the Unity companion. Was hoping for a similar experience here. But no such luck.

This app would be great if only... For the first few weeks, this app was awesome! BUT then it stopped working! It refuses to connect with my PS3, but has no issue connecting to Uplay. I tried re-installing the app, opening the app or the game first, options menu, but NOTHING WORKS! This app would be perfect if Ubisoft would fix the issue. Sadly, they haven't, so this app only gets one star.
No connection to PS4

Yes this game is close to 3 years old and I just started playing it now but if a companion app exists it should work. Both the game and app sign into uplay without issue. The app simply will not connect to my PS4. Some of my progress shows up on the app, but I can't use any second screen functionality. I have tried on all of my iOS devices some on iOS 9 and some on iOS 8. Ubisoft disappoints me yet again. AC Unity was a disaster until months after release. I won't hold my breath waiting for a fix or an update since this game is past its shelf life at this point.
Unable to Log-In with UPlay Account

Would love to experience this app as I play AC4, however the app will not accept my UPlay account login information saying it is invalid. I have double and triple checked with UPlay on my personal computer and am able to access the account just fine. If this app is still functional I would love a Ubisoft rep to help resolve this issue. I know this is an old app and not a top priority for the company, but would love to experience this game in all facets. Thank you.

Alright, let me get this straight when I saw assassin's creed black flag I thought"oh wow it's assassin's creed black flag", but then the moment I played it I found out I had to have the game on my console but my dad still hasn't played assassin's creed so he still hasn't let me play it no matter what sorry to tell you:(
