No connection to PS4 – Assassin's Creed IV® Black Flag Companion Review

Yes this game is close to 3 years old and I just started playing it now but if a companion app exists it should work. Both the game and app sign into uplay without issue. The app simply will not connect to my PS4. Some of my progress shows up on the app, but I can't use any second screen functionality. I have tried on all of my iOS devices some on iOS 9 and some on iOS 8. Ubisoft disappoints me yet again. AC Unity was a disaster until months after release. I won't hold my breath waiting for a fix or an update since this game is past its shelf life at this point.
