When it works, this game is really fun to play with friends. After most recent update I don’t get notifications when it’s my turn anymore. Have verified allowed in settings and turned on in app.

The new UI makes my favorite game unplayable :(

I’ve had this game on my phone for ages. It is, without a doubt, my most-used app. I’ll say this: the new, updated card art looks nice. And it’s great to see the UI take up the full screen on an iPhone X. But it’s worth noting that the rest of the interface was completely, dramatically redone a year or so back, and the update notes didn’t mention that huge change. And it’s really, really difficult to use the new version. First and foremost, this feels like it was designed on a desktop computer, and wasn’t tested on actual touchscreens: a lot of the buttons are too small to tap reliably, and it’s really difficult to drag cards onto the discard and banish decks. Additional issues: the animations are really really slow, even on the fastest setting. The text throughout the interface is much too tiny to read on a phone. It’s no longer possible to tell when a card has been “energized.” There are also a bunch of small issues with card artwork getting misaligned or cropped, too. Also, and this is the most frustrating part for me: when drawing cards from my hand on an iPhone X, I end up returning to the home screen a LOT, as the deck’s placement means I’m frequently swiping up on the home “button.” None of these issues were present in the old interface. I’m sure it’s not easy, but i wish there was an option in-game to restore the old layout. Because basically, playing Ascension on my phone used to be my favorite way to relax. I feel like I’ve lost my favorite game.

This game is not working on IOS 13. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. You are not able to start a game If you are, the app will play through one turn and crash every time. This has happened through 12.4 as well. This app is no longer supported so please remove from iTunes.

***UPDATE*** app will not stop crashing. A few turns into every offline game, the app crashes and when I restart it crashes in the same place. This game was great. Then it got worse. Now it’s truly unplayable. 5 Star content with 1 Star game play. Latest update is awful. Laggy and clunky with no option to revert to the compact look of previous versions. Game speed is far too slow, even on the fastest animation speeds. Cycling through your hand/discard is awkward and time consuming (yes, the 1-2 extra seconds makes a difference). Probably my favorite app of all time has become unplayable. Please, please, please fix this.

Love this game but it keeps crashing

Love this game but having reinstalled it on my newer phone it is having some major issues. The game keeps crashing and when I go back in and reload the offline game it crashes immediately as it gets back to the same cards showing. Also with the later versions of the iPhone the decks being at top or bottom cause you to easily swipe out of the app. Very annoying.

Stop reloading from the start screen

You guys have got to optimize this app for the last few iterations of iPhone. So many times when I am defeating the cultist or buying mystics or anything at the top of the screen it will slide down my iPhone Notification Center and then when you return to the app it starts over. This has been this way for a long time and it should be a simple fix. Either screen size optimizing or allowing the app to run in the background so it can be easily returned to without having to re-login. For the love of god, I’m very close to deleting it

Can be fun but games crash out often

I had given it 2 stars and now I am giving it 1 star. Literally played 5 games and all 5 crashed midway. Ridiculous. FIX THIS. The game will randomly crash while playing and the game that I was playing cannot be recoverable because it just crashes again if I try to replay it. Very annoying when playing and it just decides randomly to crash out. PLEASE FIX THIS

Really a good card game, but crash easily on iPhone durning offline mode. So far no update available solving the problem.

Good game hampered by issues

Game itself is fun, perfect amount of time for the toilet or train. But the game crashes every few games (even when you restart) and if the AI gets certain cards later in the game (like draw extra cards) it spends a long time thinking. When the AI opponent has lots of cards to process, gameplay can grind to a halt for minutes at a time, which makes it really frustrating. If these issues can be resolve the game would be great!

Never seen such a poorly designed UX. Impossible to play on phone without a telescope in your pocket. Crashes constantly since downgrading to Unity. Notifications don’t work for many. So many easy fixes they could make but don’t.
