I fail to see why Apple needs access to my microphone and camera to monitor heart rhythms.

I was really excited to join the study but when I tried to join I found out if you have afib or any other issues you’re not eligible to join the study. It would have been helpful to me because a lot of afib episodes go undetected.

I love the idea and want to fully support this but, I can’t wrap my mind around why Apple NEEDS access to my camera and microphone for a heart study on my watch.... if these requirements change then I’d love to participate.

Received invitation to join and when I downloaded the app and opened it I received a message that enrollment has ended. Was looking forward to participate and downloaded as soon as I received email.

I wanted to be able to take part in the study and was accepted right away, but my Apple Watch series 3 couldn’t handle it. By mid day my watch battery was down to 20%. Usually my battery lasts until the next day. Tried it out for two days and didn’t like having to charge my watch twice in one day. I removed myself from the study, and my watch went back to normal as soon as I deleted the app. I didn’t see anyone else complain about their watches and I don’t know why mine did this. I have such a good heart that would be perfect for this study too. Sorry Apple.

I’m going in circles trying to install the app! Keeps sending me on loops, showing it’s downloaded, then sending me to watch app to install! I’d like to participate, but about to give up on it!!!
