The app is also used by scammers pretending to be Apple Care, in order to invade your device and personal informations, by asking to screen broadcast your device using this app!!

I received an email from Norton protection” that I will be charged $330 and to call to a number and they tried to access my whole information through my phone. As soon as I tell them that I am not stupid to accept that, they hanged out.

This is honestly REALLY annoying to see all of these 1 star reviews from people who don’t understand that AnyDesk has nothing to do with them falling for a scammer’s lie. If someone lied and told you to give them an extra key to your house, and you get an extra key made and give it to them, and then they steal your stuff, why would that be the fault of whoever made that extra key for you?? Bashing the key maker and trying to ruin their reputation because YOU did something dumb that you now regret makes no sense. Yes, technically that key was used to steal from you. But it’s the SCAMMER who told you to get it, and YOU who got it. The person making the key knows nothing, and is at fault for nothing. All they did was provide the service YOU requested. Stop punishing these developers because you didn’t know better and showed a stranger your bank account. To give the devs some actual feedback: AnyDesk is an excellent remote device access application, and I’ve been using it for years with not problems. It’s a simple interface that opens up a whole new world of convenience with allowing me a quick and reliable means to control my devices no matter where I’m at. It’s the best on the market for apps of this kind, in my opinion, and it’s free for personal use!! Seriously. This is a great app with great functionality that is FREE, and I’m so sorry to the devs for having to see your rating suffer so much because you’re being blamed for others dumb mistakes. I really appreciate those who work on this app. Thank you.

Anyone telling you to download this app is about to scam you for money. I almost got hit for $495 from some lying sub human creature. Don’t do it!

I almost go scammed today. I called what I thought was the PayPal service number, a man picked up, told me to download this app; which would’ve given him access to my phone. Right when I was about to give him the access I decided to quickly search up the PayPal service number and it did not match. The man then started rushing me to give him the access and started cussing at me. If I wouldn’t have questioned him last minute, I would’ve been scammed and given some stranger full access to my phone. Lesson of the day: Do NOT download this app if PayPal or any other service tells you to - no service should require you to download this app if they are legit. Be careful!
